    The historic palace

Too central, impossible to arrive by car. The GPS did not recognize streets that were pedestrian only.

    Property response:

Dear Madame, we send with the room confirmation all the datails and indications to arrive easy to the hotel, if you don't follow the indication become difficult but if you follow it's very easy Best regards Monica

    1. The building itself is amazing, and they managed to structure the hotel in such a way that the building is very well preserved and showcased. 2. The staff is great. 3. Breakfast was very good. 4. Location is amazing. 5. Room (family room) size, comfort, and ambience were unbeatable. I would like to return someday.

    No complaints.

Location excellent, had dinner at hotel. Owner responded promptly to my my email request for dinner booking. Weather good so could dine outside, food well prepared.

Hotel is a 14th century building, marble floors. Small elevator up to first floor, then two steps down to a hall, then another 4 steps down to our room. No handrails for steps. I use a walking stick and struggle on steeper steps. I hadn't even considered my use of a walking stick when booking the hotel, perhaps I could have requested a lower floor room? Don't remember any choice of room location on booking website.

We loved the location of the hotel, right in the middle of the old city and very close to San Vitale and the other amazing sites in Ravenna. The hotel itself is quite old, dating back several hundred years. It has been tastefully decorated and brought up to date while retaining its unique charm. And the staff is very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Dora referred us to an excellent guide to show us around the city. Also, the hotel is located across teh street from the Mercato Coperto, where we had some great food.

Nothing important stands out. We really liked our stay there.

Albergo Cappello was my first Booking.com reservation and exceeded my expectations. Great staff, convenient location, facility very clean. Many options within walking distance to shop, eat, and/or drink. We ate in the hotel restaurant and really enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and options. Highly recommend. We stayed here as Ravenna is the cruise port for Royal Caribbean. City of Ravena has a shuttle service that picked us up in front of hotel and would highly recommend as well. On the map, hotel appears to be close to train station, however its a decent walk over some cobblestone streets, prepare and pace yourself or better yet, take a taxi.

One of our rooms was off an unairconditioned hallway which made the room a tad warm.

The location was excellent, with easy access to restaurants and sightseeing (in particular, the mosaics), and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the junior suite with the frescos, which was very lovely, and the room was spacious.

We stayed one night after a cruise. The property was perfect for our needs. Centrally located, easy to walk to Ravenna attractions, restaurants, and the train station. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. A bar/restaurant was located on the premises. Breakfast was wonderful.

The staff - especially Dora - were lovely. The hotel is in a brilliant location and in a historic 15th century building.

I honestly can't think of anything.
