How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAlberto is so helpful, he explained every issue for the hotel and my trip in Italy. If you plan to make day-trips, that is a good hotel near the Termini Station. They cleaned up the room every day. Just bring your slippers with you.
A bit noisy at night but If you get tired from strolling around the city then it won't be a problem.

Verified reviewWe highly recommend stay at the hotel! It's really clean - they tidy rooms every day. The neighbourhood is safe. And owners are really welcoming and helpful. 😃 It's close to Termini and Castro Pretorio metro stations as well as many cafes and shops. We would recommend it to our family and friends - it's a good and safe place both for couples as well as families. The hotel is located in pretty tenement with beautiful garden with orange and lemon trees.

Verified reviewThe location is very good, you need just several minutes to reach to termini station. Host was incredibly kind and helpful. He informed us about every detail we needed to know about our room and our visit in Rome. Room was little bit old, but very clean.
It's not typical hotel, it's more like guesthouse. There is no kettle in room for coffee, but it's not problem for Rome.

Verified reviewAmazing location, very affordable and has everything you need. Bus 492 which is right outside the complex gets you to the center. Main train station Termini with metro A and B are 7 minutes by foot. Neighbourhood is safe and there are a number of great small restaurants that have affordable lunches. Budget hotel, but very homely and saves you a significant amount of money which you can use for museums, food et cetera. Also working fridge in the room was a lifesaver.
Loudness of the street, but normal if you live in a big city

Everything was clean in the room, hot and cold water, air conditioner, small refrigerator, all were fine. The hotel is in a peaceful location, very close to Termini station.

Verified reviewGreat location. It is about 10 10-minute walk from Termini. Also, there is a bus stop near the entrance with the 492 bus that goes to all bus stations in the city center. The room is simple and a little bit old, but really clean! The owner is very welcoming and nice :) I think the price is pretty fair.

Verified reviewOverall we were very pleased with our stay. The hosts were very friendly. They informed us about everything we needed to know about the room and the area we were staying in. The metro station was nearby and there was a bus stop right outside the apartment. The Termini station was only 5 minutes away from the apartment and you were crossing busy streets so there was no fear of being robbed. I recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.
The only negative was that the double bed had two single mattresses and this was inconvenient because they moved all the time creating a gap in between.

Verified reviewFriendly staff, clean and spaced room, location near train station and have a bus station in the front
It’s located on a big street so the noise is still louder. Given the price is still good value.

Verified reviewThe location and staff
My recent stay at this hotel in Rome was average and had several areas that could be improved. Firstly, the amenities were lacking; we were provided with only one small soap and, despite multiple requests, received just a small shampoo late into our stay. We ended up purchasing our own toiletries, which was inconvenient. The cleanliness of the hotel did not meet our expectations either. The promotional photos portrayed a much cleaner environment than what we experienced. Additionally, the daily maintenance was minimal as towels were only changed every three days, contributing to an overall sense of inadequate service. We encountered a few issues with hotel policies and guest management that were less than ideal. For example, the remote control incident where we were sternly warned to keep it away from our child due to its cost—stated as being 29 euros—felt unreasonable. The strict access control requiring us to ring three bells to enter and constant monitoring by the reception made our stay feel very restricted. My sister, who visited from Switzerland, was not allowed to join me in my room even briefly, which was quite disappointing. Moreover, the room had a strange smell, the fridge was inefficient, and the bathroom had low water pressure, which made even basic tasks uncomfortable. We also found ourselves having to manage our garbage, which was unexpected. On a positive note, the reception staff, although stringent, were polite and the hotel’s location is excellent—right in the heart of Rome, making it easy to explore the city. Conclusion: This hotel feels more like a guesthouse with strict house rules. If you value location over comfort and are okay with a hands-on management style, this might suit you. However, if you prefer a more relaxed stay with better amenities, you might want to look elsewhere.
