Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ParaguayVery welcoming hotel with exceptional staff. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches that elevated the stay (complimentary water, toiletries kits, slippers). It also included a kettle, fridge, and safe. The AC worked perfectly, and my room even had a charming little balcony. The location is a bit removed from the historic center (about a 30-minute walk, which feels like more in the summer heat), but there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel. I also felt very safe, even walking back alone from the opera late at night.

GermanyOne of my best stays in Italy in the last 20 year, if not the best. Of course, I'm not talking about five-star luxury here but when it comes to a truly solid, warm, and welcoming three-star hotel, this hotel sets the gold standard. Everything here just feels right: well-organized, attentive, and genuine. This is true hospitality, as it should be. A special thanks to Maurizio Russo. I think Verona can be proud to have someone like him representing it. What made this experience truly unforgettable was the genuine care we felt throughout our entire stay. Whether advising the restaurants, organizing vineyard visit, or simply receiving thoughtful recommendations on where to go and what not to miss in Verona, we always had the clear feeling that we were in good hands. It felt less like a hotel stay and more like visiting good friends who genuinely want you to enjoy their city. The hotel itself is clean, cozy, and full of soul. In addition to the “must have” standards, there are many small, thoughtful details that bring a smile to your face. Lots of signs that someone truly cares about your well-being. Even something as simple as the small bookshelves next to the bed made a big impression. Highly recommended. A place like this stays with you long after your trip.

PhilippinesLocation was just a little too far from the old city for my liking but the price and comfort really made up for that.
Breakfast was great, room and hotel were very clean, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Air conditioning much appreciated in the very hot weather.

United KingdomIt was a little bit far to walk in to Verona for my mum who is older when it was so hot.
Such lovely staff who seemed to really want to make our stay a good one all from the breakfast/kitchen staff to the receptionists.

United KingdomSuper hotel. Spotlessly clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s a little way out of town, especially as I was alone and the opera finishes after midnight, but it felt safe enough to walk. Although I’d recommend a taxi if you can find one. The buses stop after midnight.

FranceVery well everything. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable. The staff very friendly. They have their own garage, which was very well appreciated. We took the bus for reaching the city centre, and the bus stop was just in front of the hotel. An excellent experience overall !

United StatesThe bathroom was interesting and showed a very creative way of using a small space. The shower cabin had 2 foldable sides, which when pulled together made a closed cabin. The moving shower head though had a mind of it's own. It was loosely attached to the holding rail so every time I turned it off to put shampoo and turned it back on - the head will jump out of the holder and start spraying everywhere. The first time, I almost fell because I leaned on the shower cabin pull out sides and they gave in because they are not stationary. Anyway, as I said, it was fine for one night.
We stayed at the hotel only one night after watching a concert at the Roman Forum in Verona. The walk was 20-25 min from the hotel, which is why we chose it. The hotel has underground parking but needs to be booked in advance because it is not very big. The room was very comfortable for our party of 3 for one night. I am not sure I would have chosen this hotel for more than 1-2 nights. The staff was excellent.

United KingdomNot necessarily a bad thing but the hotel is a little bit further out of the city centre but there’s a connecting bus and very walkable.
Lovely hotel with great staff! I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Fontana Verona. The staff were very attentive and the rooms were very clean and spacious. It felt like you were tucked away in a little Italian village away from the hustle and bustle of the main city but. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

IrelandThis is an excellent small hotel just 15minute walk from the centre of Verona, opposite the hospital in a local area. There is a bus stop opposite the hotel to take you into Verona if you prefer not to walk, this bus also takes you to the train station where you can catch the airport bus. From this train station you can travel to Desanzano or Sirimione on the south of Lake Garda, both well worth a visit, half hour train journey. Just watch which train tickets you select some were €16 or €4.80 for same journey depending on which website or ticket machine at the station you used. There is a lovely small local coffee shop on the corner 200 metres away where you can grab a cappuccino and cake for €2.50 and an excellent local restaurant almost opposite Aldi, 5 minutes walk from hotel, where food is so reasonably priced and excellent. The hotel is family run by very friendly, welcoming people. My room was perfect with a good pressure shower. There is a hot tub and sauna on site, unfortunately I did not take a swimsuit so did not avail of these. There is an outside area where you can sit and have a drink after visiting busy Verona. This is a perfect spot to stay if you do not mind being a walk away from the busy centre.

United KingdomAnything I could have a ‘niggle’ about I can’t because it’s all relative of the price..any accommodation that is I third of the price of an old town located hotel has got to sacrifice something!.. mainly a 20-30 minute walk to the old town…although it is a very easy one and there is a bus stop right opposite the hotel that is very simple to use…for the money, it is well worth it…
Very Helpful staff, cheap price
