The friendliest staff I've ever experienced. Nothing was a problem and they were very kind. Accommodation was clean and on a beautiful place with wonderful restaurant beneath.

A toilet in the shower was unexpected but a person can make it. Last bus from the sea goes at 7pm and then you cannot get into or outside the town.

the village is nice, so quiet, ... actually the hotel was closed. we did not know in advance. the owner appeared from somewhere and offered an appartment. being right in the centre. the restaurant mentioned in the comments was also closed, so we had to go down to the shores to Marina di Campo to get something for dinner because up in the village everything was closed. nothing to eat. we were in off-season. in Marina we bought grilled chicken at Conad.

Staff of the hotel was very friendly. The nature around the hotel is extremely beautiful. Th hotel is very quiet and the village of San Piero very nice.

I wanted to have a dinner in the restaurant, but I don't have a smartphone. But you need a phone to get the menu and if you don't have a menu, you cannot order a meal! So I went away with the feeling not to be welcome. I went to another restaurant in the village, where a guy from the staff lent me his phone. But the next day that restaurant (Caccio e vino) was fully booked, so I had to eat bread and cheese in my hotel room. Further: San Piero is very isolated, especially in the weekends. I don't have a car, so the hotel had to arrange an expensive taxi to bring me from San Piero to the ferry on sunday. If you have a smartphone and a car, go to La Rosa; if you don't: stay in Portoferraiu!
