The staff at Albergo Moderno were very friendly. The room was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was good, coffee excellent. It represents value for money.

It was OK for one night

Room was large, clean and bright. Nice large shower. Very quiet area with a couple of restaurants within walking distance.

We asked for no cleaners to enter the room as we were only there for 2 nights. That was not respected as it was clear someone had been in our room. A/C unit was very noisy and made it a little difficult to sleep but at least it worked!

Nice little hotel in a quiet area - family run and not a chain which is nice. Good free private parking.

We had issue with the WIFI in the room we were allocated. Both the morning and the day staff ensured the issue was resolved promptly to our satisfaction. The room was cleaned daily during our stay. The hotel is about 30 minutes walk to the city centre. However, there is bus 7 just few yards from the hotel which goes through the city centre to Modena station. You can also get to the city centre using buses 2 and 4 respectively

There is no bus service to the hotel from the city centre from 9.00pm but this was not a problem for me and my wife during our stay.

Room smelt like smoke 🐦

An excellent student dormitory for a short period of time location is directly across from the university. It was clean, quiet and offered breakfast.

It isn’t a big size hotel, calm clean, for people who like tranquility. 10-20 minutes walking distance from shops and historic modena center.

Breakfast should be revised and ameliorated with adding more choices.

The staff were amazing at all times. Wonderful staff. The accommodations were tricky to access, parking was not included as expected and the room was very basic. But this was a nice enough place for inside the city walls.

It was 40 min walk to the old town. The room was very old fashioned and not comfortable at all.

The location and the breakfast were very good; the room was spacious and clean.

The walls were a bit too thinn and we could hear everything on the hallway and the alarm clocks from the others.

The room had a very good air conditioner, worked well and was not noisy, which was a relief considering it was 38°C outside. The room didn't have a private bathroom but one to share with one other room, but that was no problem.

The room was basic but OK. The only extremely unpleasant thing was that, even though smoking is prohibited, the bad smell of entering a smoking room was the first impression I got every time I entered the room. I tried spraying perfume to neutralize the odour but to no avail. Clearly this room has been used by a heavy smoker in the past and it was impossible to get the odour out...
