Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Perfect location, free parking, nice staff. The staff actually brought my suitcase up to my room — that’s pretty rare in European hotels.

United KingdomI wish there were more restaurants in the town. Just for variety. But there was no problem at all with the hotel.
Location was amazing. We loved the hotel. Very clean. Staff were lovely. Everything was great. We just loved staying in that hotel and the little town. So beautiful.

It is such a beautiful town that there is nothing not to like. The Albergo was very comfortable with the biggest restaurant in town on the ground floor.

PolandPalazzo Adriano is a beautiful town located in the mountains, it offers spectacular views and great hiking options. There's several cafes and places where you can grab something to eat. The rooms at the albergo are small and quite old but offer all you need: a bathroom, hairdryer, AC with heating option. We had good pizza in the pizzeria downstairs. Parking available for free on the street or in front of the pizzeria.

SpainPalazzo Adriano is way up in the mountains, and getting there involves a rather tortuous drive through narrow, winding, steep, badly maintained roads. Of course, this isn't the hotel's fault, and, if you're going for the same reason as me, it's a small price to pay. Once you get to the village, if you're a fan of the film, it's surreal just to be there. I, unfortunately, arrived as the village's annual festivities were kicking off. I could barely hear the (considerable) noise from the street, but there was a lot of noise in the corridors from drunk people arriving late at night.
As may be expected, I travelled to Palazzo Adriano as it is the village where Cinema Paradiso (my favourite film) was shot. The hotel itself is basic, and not particularly decorated to my taste, but I don't really have any complaints. Room was clean, bed was basic but comfortable, air con/heater, TV, decent shower and bathroom. Wifi was good. The adjacent restaurant offers tasty local fare and is decently priced. Also, and don't take this as given, but I personally was told I could check out at any time.

United StatesBasic small family-operated hotel upstairs from the pizzeria in the center of Palazzo Adriano, the filming site for the classic 1988 film Cinema Paradiso. The rooms are small, and apparently all have two narrow twin beds. No refrigerator or other frills. Not a fancy place, but decent if you want to have a night in this very authentic Sicilian hill town. Nina and son are quite friendly and helpful, and have a lot of experience running the restaurant and hotel.

ItalyFirst of all the room had been used by smokers and reeked like an ashtray, not healthy and most uncomfortable. Room was a bit cluttered in layout, and bathroom on the small size, also very cold, with no heat except from the bedroom but then you had to leave the door open and let in cold to the bedroom Owner was unhappy that we arrived at 1800, a bit late as we got lost on the rod several times. No breakfast offered even though they had a restaurant downstairs, the onl bar open nearby had run out of food.
Location was OK. even though Palazzo Adriano is a difficult town to navigate in with very narrow streets, Hotels pizza restaurant was quite good.
