How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe booked a basic room and were delighted when the view from the room was a panoramic view of the castle and town. The restaurant was very good and great value for money. A special mention to the waiting staff who were lovely.
There was no sound proofing. The shower was tiny.

Dear Mr. Massimo, Thank you for staying at Palazzo Pischedda and appreciating the comfort of the room assigned to you... We're sorry you weren't able to enjoy our standard breakfast, but we can assure you that all our products, from sweet to savory, are of the highest quality and mostly sourced from small local and provincial farms. These include cheeses, salami, fruit, vegetables, dry pastries, and cakes prepared by our chef. We also have an organic and healthy corner, with hot chafing dishes for scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, bacon, mushrooms, and pancakes. In addition to various drinks and juices, the refrigerated buffet also features ricotta, fruit salads, fresh fruit, yogurt, other cured meats and sliced cheeses, mixed vegetables, mozzarella, and more. Spoon jams, dried fruit, mini pastries, croissants, both classic and vegan, four types of bread, toast, and more, all served with hot beverages made with an Italian machine, such as cappuccinos, coffee/tea prepared and served at your table. If you'd like more, please let us know, and we'd be happy to accommodate you with additional products. We thank you and hope to welcome you back. Kind Regards

Verified reviewLovely place to stay, good quality furnishing, comfortable bed, extremely clean room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast which you can eat either indoors or in the lovely garden. To top all of this was the fabulous balcony/terrace with fantastic views of the beautiful town. And all this in a gorgeous old property with grand features. Free parking is easy in the car park opposite. Everything good and highly recommended.
Nothing to dislike at all.

The mezzanine sleeping arrangements
Dear Mr. John, Thank you for staying at Palazzo Pischedda and appreciating the hospitality and helpfulness we offer all our guests, as well as our location just 30 meters from the Ponte Vecchio. We wanted to confirm that the rooms, with raised sleeping areas separated from the living areas, are designed to offer maximum comfort, with a ceiling height of approximately 2.1 meters. The building is historic, and given the impressive ceiling heights—approximately 4.5 meters in some rooms—we have created a larger space, which is usable thanks to its modular design. This is always much appreciated. If you had preferred, we could have assigned you a single-level room. Thank you, and we hope to have you again. Kind Regards

Verified reviewLovely building, with beautiful walls and a ceiling. Everything was recently renovated. The hotel provided free parking, which is excellent. Nice breakfast, I like the variety of chees and pancakes with Nutella.
It could be loud at night because the hotel It is located at the corner of 2 streets. Also, the entrance door to our room has very poor sound isolation, so anybody going to breakfast in the morning needs to walk next to our room. It was loud, like people and children were walking throughout the room from 7am. Coffee in the room was missing. There was some instant 3-in-1 coffee with milk and sugar, I’m not sure if anybody is still drinking that
Dear Ms. Vanja Thank you for staying at Palazzo Pischedda and appreciating the building's conservative restoration, the generous buffet breakfast, the reserved parking, and the location just 50 meters from the Ponte Vecchio. We can confirm that despite one side facing Via Roma (a quiet street), the windows have been triple-glazed to ensure maximum soundproofing. The room you are referring to has the original old door. We were able to install soundproofing bars and a sound-absorbing curtain. We can confirm that the curtain provides excellent soundproofing. Its a historic building, some livelier guests may be perceived as being in any other establishment. Regarding hot drinks, there is a kettle in the room, which is mostly used for herbal teas and tea, which is why we have included instant coffee sachets. We thank you and hope to welcome you back. Kind Regards

Dear Mr Timson Thank you for staying at Palazzo Pischedda. We're sorry, and it would have been helpful to have direct feedback on what you didn't like so we could rectify it. Regarding the hotel's location, which you may have already seen when booking, we can confirm that the location, just 50 meters from the Ponte Vecchio in the historic center of Bosa, is always highly appreciated not only for the convenience of having dedicated parking, but also for the hospitality, cleanliness, housekeeping, room service, and the service we offer all our guests. We thank you and hope to welcome you back so we can confirm how much most of our guests appreciate it. Kind Regards

Drain smell from bathroom and scales broken Initial check in was not very welcoming Walls were very thin, spent our stay listening to next room arguing
Dear Ms. Sarah, Thank you for your kind words regarding the property, the breakfast, the private parking, and the overall comfort. We're sorry to hear that you've experienced soundproofing issues. Being a historic hotel, certain noises from other guests may be perceived with greater reverberation and differently. We can confirm that the walls are naturally soundproofed, being made of very thick stone. Since it's an old building, you may hear some noises from other guests, who may occasionally be a little more lively. Hospitality is very important to us. We can assure you that we've always made every effort to welcome all our guests in the best possible way, providing them with all the information they need about the property and the surrounding area. Regarding the temporary smell in the bathroom, we were able to determine that it was due to a blocked ventilation valve caused by strong winds. The bathroom-scales in some rooms can be adjusted to display a "0." We thank you again for your stay at Palazzo Pischedda and send you our warmest regards.
