Staff was super helpful, they stored our bikes securely for our stay and was ready to help anytime with everything. The hotel is right on the beach which is perfect if you want to go for a swim There is a few choice of restaurants nearby for drinks and aperitivo. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice to pick from. The view is incredible

The place is a little remote, so every restaurant is a bit more expensive.

    Nothing.

Dirty. Dated. Rude staff. Overpriced. Smelly rooms. Awful breakfast.

    Property response:

Dear Guest, we don't agree with your review and we would like to provide our version of the events: you damaged both the entrance and the bathroom doors, the bedside table, the telephone and the curtain. and you also stained the walls with the ink. Furthermore, when our staff addressed these issues, your reaction was aggressive and defamatory towards them, despite their efforts to protect the integrity of the property in the most peaceful way possible. In addition to this behavior, you chose to leave at dawn without paying the outstanding balance and the cost of the damages. Best regards

    View is beautiful

The beach is right in front of the hotel, but it’s open to the public, and sunbeds cost extra – even for hotel guests. Parking isn’t included and costs €25 per day, which feels excessive for anyone already staying at the property… We were charged a €100 (!!) fine for alleged damage to a wardrobe caused by a hair styling device. At that same moment, they also tried to charge us again for parking – even though it had already been prepaid! And of course, just after we paid… the staff offered us a “compensation”: a cheap bottle of wine… For three whole days, no one bothered to replace the shampoo and conditioner in the room and the water costs extra.

    Property response:

Dear Mr. Dor, thank you for your message but, we would like to clarify the situation. The extra charges (like the parking) were clarly listed during the booking process and are also repeated at check-in for full transparency. Regarding the damage, we found that the table where the mini bar is, had been seriously burned by hair straightener. The cost of the replacing the new furniture was actually higher than € 100,00 but, as a gesture of goodwill (we know you didn't do on purpose), we decided to apply a discount. Additionally, we kindly gave to you the bottle of wine as a complimentary gift , offered because we were informed it was your birthday. We appreciate your understanding, Best Regards

The location was amazing, great value for the money and beautiful view. The room was nothing too special but was perfectly comfortable and very large.

There were some extra expenses like the parking.

    Location was beautiful

Be prepared to pay extra costs ( car parking, sun loungers, beach shower ) which I would think would be included for guests of hotel, considering price of the stay , breakfast was basic

The most beautiful location. Magical and romantic but also enjoyable for my 10 year old son, couldn't get him out of the ocean. Fantastic place. Highly recommend.

Location is perfect. Lovely Restaurant around the hotel too.

We had a First-Class Experience at Alfonso a Mare from the moment we arrived. Our stay was nothing short of amazing – first-class in every regard. It's clear that some reviews must be describing an entirely different hotel, as our experience was overwhelmingly positive. The location is simply paradise, an idyllic setting that instantly transports you to a state of relaxation. From the welcoming reception to every member of the hotel staff, attentiveness was a consistent theme. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely couldn't do enough for us throughout our three-night stay. Our room was a beautiful, clean, spacious, and impeccably well-maintained, complete with a large bathroom. The daily towel changes were a thoughtful touch that further enhanced our comfort. Dining at the hotel restaurant was a highlight. As it is a prime beachfront location and has a predominantly fish-based menu, my dislike for fish presented absolutely no problem. On both evenings, the incredibly accommodating waiter collaborated with the chef to create custom first and second courses specifically for me. The result was delicious, high-quality meals, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. We were so impressed that we made a point of personally thanking and complimenting the chef at the end of our stay. This willingness to go above and beyond, coupled with very reasonable prices, truly made our dining experiences unforgettable. We wholeheartedly recommend Alfonso a Mare most highly and will definitely return. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

    Perfect in every way
