Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Hosts were brilliant, the room was lovely and beautiful views from the balcony. The location was great, only 5 minutes away from the historic centre. Good bonus with the free breakfast of crosisant and coffee at the cafe. Really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely modern property just minutes walk from the town centre and beach. Hosts were really nice and helpful. Spotless clean with Good size balcony, power shower and comfortable bed, what more could you ask for.

The accommodation is just as beautiful and clean as shown in the photos. It is furnished with great taste and feels very cozy. It is very well located. Communication with the owners was easy, and they were extremely helpful. It is very well located, with the main attractions and the seaside promenade just a few minutes' walk away.

It was an amazing stay. The host was super nice and helpful. The room was clean, close to the beach, and with a beautiful view where we enjoyed the sunset colors.

Everything was very good. My only concern ( may be not justified because we had not problem) is parking- we were able to find place within 300meters from the apartment but when we tried to park- it was like one place in the nieghbourhood and we felt we were lucky - probably it depends on the time of the day and the season but I can imagine that sometimes finding the place for the car can be difficult.
The apartment is within nice walking distance to the old city and close to to the sea promenade. The brekfast is served in the cafe which is very close and is open early in the morning so if you plan excursion you can still have your very tasty cornetto and cappuccino. The apartment is clean and nicely decorated. The fridge and electric kettle are available un the common space.

Dario the owner was very welcoming and helpful with information for our travels. The room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The shower was very powerful and warm. We loved our stay here.

Great location to walk every part of alghero. Very quiet at night for sleep. Very clean & comfortable room - we stayed for a week & enjoyed it.

The property is just amazing, clean, comfortable and the perfect location! The building itself is a lovely mixture of new and authentic. We had no issues finding free parking in the area. Dario and Margherita are amazing, welcoming hosts who made our trip magical with all the advice they gave us on things to do and see! We recommended Alghero Roof Gardens to all our friends, family and anyone travelling to Sardinia!

We loved the Hosts, Dario and Marherita are soooo helphul, caring and passionate about their BnB that we felt like at home. Definately going back to Alghero Roof Garden! The view from our window was also gorgeous especially in the early morning… U see the entire coastline with an uprising fog

Absolutely nothing. It was perfect for our holiday.
Decorated really well with everything you need for a few days stay. Good location with only a short walk into the old town. And the hosts were exceptional. Charming, helpful and taking care of all of our needs to make sure we enjoyed our Holiday.

Dario was the best host! The rooms are spacious and very clean with a big comfy bed and a small terrace. Breakfast was around the corner in a nice bar with the best cappuccino's. We will definitely coming back to this charming B&B if only it is to say hi again to Dario and his wife! :D

The hosts were very welcoming and gave us all the information and help we needed to have a great stay in Alghero. The room was great and cleaned every day! Breakfast at the friendly cafe round the corner made mornings very easy and we enjoyed watching the sunsets from our balcony. We appreciated access to the fridge and kettle too. We also borrowed their parasols for the beach which was perfect! Thank you Margherita and Dario!

everything was wonderful, Dario received us at arrival and he is a very good and entertaining host. the breakfast is served in a coffee across the street and the food is very good (despite not being a classical italian breakfast)

The water in the shower could have been a little hotter. Which is certainly not a problem in summer. It would be quite pleasant in autumn/winter.
The host was really nice and gave a warm welcome while arriving. He also gave some tips for the stay in alghero. The view from the balcony over the city was really great. There was a lift to use to get up to the 4th floor. You could have breakfast in the nearby café, where the locals also linger for espresso and cornetto.
