Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaThe hotel is very authentic, you can feel the attention to detail, the old interior has been preserved. The location is great, and the city of Ragusa left perhaps the biggest impression on the entire trip around Sicily. The host Giuseppe was extremely helpful and attentive. Actually, we have never experienced such hospitality in any other hotel, we were honestly impressed. We wish Giuseppe and his family the best of luck in their business and hope to come here again in the future!

United KingdomNothing apart from parking.
Nothing was too much trouble for our host Giuseppe. Met us at the door and carried our luggage up to our room, drove us to find parking (not easy). Gave us info about the town, with a map and info on buses. Lovely big room with a terrace and access to the garden. Mini bar, kettle and tea. Lots of choice for breakfast including home made cake, yogurt, marmalade. Ate outside in the garden.

PolandI honestly can’t think of anything
Very clean and spacious room, classy interior with stone floors and vintage furniture (all working and clean). Location was fantastic, you walk out straight into the heart of Ibla. Breakfast was delicious, great choice, a lot of homemade goodies. The host Giuseppe was wonderful, very helpful, nice and friendly. Gave us great advice about parking and what to see. Very good WiFi. I highly recommend this B&B if you want to visit one of the most incredible and beautiful places in Sicily.

AustraliaThis B&B was exceptional- we felt like we were staying in an old palace nestled in the beautiful old town of Ragusa. The room was spacious and at night it was very quiet. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding, having many sweet and savoury options, much of it homemade. Giuseppe was very helpful and attentive and spoke english very well. I would not hesitate to come back here and stay longer next time!

CanadaWe liked everything about it. Grazie Giuseppe and Vanessa
Beautiful accomodation; high domed ceiling in bedrooms, wonderful interior stonework (stairs, ceilings). The hosts were gracious, helpful, generous, the breakfasts were varied and plentiful. There were several small restaurants close by with delicious food, and the beautiful Giardino Ibleo was just a couple of minutes walk away. Handy bus into Ragusa Superiore was at the front of the gardens

United KingdomBreakfast not provided in the property but I was given a ticket to get free breakfast at a nearby bar. Bar was late opening so no use. When I eventually found it open there was no choice, only coffee and a pancake. It was also a seedy looking bar.
Located just in the right place.Convenient for everything. The owner found me a parking space, thankfully as I would not like to have to search myself. Many places have no parking pay meter and impossible to find a Tabac to get a permit. So a free slot important ( white lines.only)

United KingdomThe air conditioning was poor but the owners kindly provided additional fans for us. Breakfast was cancelled during our stay, but again we were given options of a full refund or discount and we chose to stay. The bathroom for some reason was very hot all day and all night. You had to be quick ! Terraces needed a quick sweep to remove the bird waste.
A glorious old palazzo in the best location in Ibla. Enormous rooms which were very clean and filled with thoughtful touches. Excellent communication with the staff throughout. We enjoyed coffees on the terrace watching the sunrise, listening to the church bells.

United KingdomRoom decoration looked tired in some parts but this was a minor issue.
Location was perfect, being within easy reach of the main square in Ibla and yet not far from parking spaces, both free (white lines) and paid for (blue lines). The room we stayed in (Junior Suite with Terrace or Room 6) was huge and clean with its own sunny terrace to sit out on and a big newly refurbished bathroom with all mod cons. Vanessa was very friendly and helpful with all our requests, getting in touch before our stay to send us Google Map pins for possible parking places in Ibla.

CanadaIn our suite, the hotel should provide suitcase holders, so that people don't put their suitcases on the antique sofa and armchairs. One French door on a balcony did not open, so we could not open the shutters.
The breakfast was excellent, not exactly the same the two mornings we were there: a choice of fruits, plain yogurt, homemade jam, prosciutto, Sicilian pasticerrias, etc, and cappuccinos that could have been stronger, hotter, and a bit larger. Perfect location when travelling from another city by bus (or "train by bus") once your figured where/when to catch the bus to Ibla; otherwise 10-15 euros for a taxi to get down to Ibla near the Giardino. Pleasant little bar/caffè on the piazza where the buses arrive in Superiore, where to figure how to get down to Ibla.

United StatesParking is about a five minute walk away, though that didn’t really bother us.
Of all the places we’ve ever stayed, this was one of the very best and certainly the best value. The building is downright palatial, with incredible old furniture and ceilings over 15 feet high, yet the bathrooms were full of modern amenities. One of our two rooms had a magnificent balcony with views of the rear courtyard and beyond. The location is very convenient to the major sites, as well as to buses, taxis, and car parks. The breakfast, served out in the courtyard, included a spread with a large variety of delicious options. Finally, the hostess was very pleasant, accommodating, and informative. All in all, we could not have been more pleased with our stay.
