How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe hosts were VERY accommodating, helpful, and friendly. This property is located a short distance from Ortisei and is very accessible by the bus, which runs every 30 minutes or less. Upon arrival we asked for two beds and the hosts moved us to an entire apartment. The apartment was clean and was fully stocked with cookware, dishes, etc. The beautiful, full breakfast was included in our stay and it was nothing short of amazing! On the morning of our departure, the hosts packed us a breakfast to go. I would HIGHLY recommend ApartmentHotel Residence Elvis! You will not be disappointed!

The room was way too hot, there was no AC or fan. Breakfast was overpriced and terrible.

Verified reviewThe property and room were beautiful. They have a lovely outside play area for families with children. There is a restaurant with delicious food onsite.l and a bus stop across the street. We used the provided bus passes included in the price of the room which was a nice surprise.
Our stay was in late June. This can be a beautiful but hot time in the mountains. There was no air conditioning ( we knew this before hand.) This is common in the Dolomites and we chose to still book. The room was extremely warm ( as stated before, it was very hot this summer day ) and we needed to vent constantly through our stay with windows and doors. (Again, typical of a room with no air conditioning) the issue is that the hotel is on the main road and it was extremely loud most of the night into the early hours of the morning with loud trucks, motorcycles racing down the road, car horns, and the civil alert. I think a stay here during the winter would be marvelous as the snow would likely dampen the sounds and the windows would be closed. For a summer stay when it is very lively outside , I personally would not stay again . We unfortunately did not sleep and we were startled awake all through the night.

Dear guests, Thank you for taking the time to write this review! Unfortunately, the other things have fallen by the wayside. You have booked an apartment for 2 nights without breakfast. This means that we do not have to clean the apartment after 1 night. We also don't have to change the towels after 1 night. This only happens if the guest books the apartment with breakfast. Then the room is tidied and the towels are also changed. You have not expressed your wishes. If the guest books the apartment with breakfast, a continental breakfast is served at the table, exactly as stated on booking.com. Our numerous guests can also confirm this. If you have not booked breakfast, you can still order in the evening for the next morning. Otherwise you can order coffee, tea, juices, crossan, sandwiches and toast in the bar. The cosmetics are adequate for a 2-star apartment. If you had needed something more, you would have had the opportunity to express your wishes. Obviously you did not succeed in doing so. Please check what criteria a 2-star accommodation in Italy must fulfill. Then you can check what is on offer here and then you will see how “objective” your rating really is. The hotel lists “swimming pools” as one of their “facilities” but it’s not until you read the finer print it’s mentioned that its actually a public pool & it’s a 1km bus ride away. The bedrooms at night were unbearably hot. No fan or air con and no top sheet, just a thick duvet in 28 degree heat. The kitchenette is huge and very well equipped with everything you need but I don’t understand why basics like salt and pepper couldn’t be provided?

Verified reviewEverything was clean and looked new. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was large for this type of apartment. Everything (kitchen appliances, shower etc) worked well. Lots of storage. There was free parking right in front of the building. We had a big private balcony.
The location was at the edge of town. Very convenient for parking and driving, but if you wanted to go into the town you needed to drive or take the free bus. An enclosure for the shower would be nice.
