How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The friendliness and very informative. We already had set plans that were outside the breakfast hours and they compensated by giving us our items before hand.

We had a fantastic stay at Terrazza Belfiore. It was the cheapest room we could find and it far exceeded any expectations. Gianluca was friendly and welcoming, and the room was modest but comfortable and surprisingly spacious. The location is good, a bit away from the city center but it's only a 20ish minute walk. The only thing that could've made it lose points was that it can be hard to find, but Gianluca sent a video prior to our arrival showing us how to get from the train station and where to find it, so even that wasn't an issue.

There was everything to like about our stay. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Bathroom was the same. Location was amazing to take the train, bus, or tram around or outside the city. It was also a 5 minute walk from the drop out point of the airport train. The best part though is the host. He was kind, a great listener, helped us find amazing restaurants that were unforgettable and made the experience a million times better than we thought. We are coming back to Florence to get married in September and are booking again because how great the experience was!

The manager was very helpful and kind, he gave us a map and helped us with everything we needed and recommended both restaurants and routes to take. The room was very big and clean.

The breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Gianluca made eggs to order. The location was a 10 minute walk from the train station and about 20-25 minutes to all the tourist sites in Florence. Gianluca was very helpful with maps and suggestions about car rentals and called us a taxi when needed. Thank you Gianluca

Location was spot on, close to Florence 15 min walk to Duomo. Breakfast was GREAT everyday was a treat. Room was very clean when we arrived, lots of space and the bathroom even better. Geanluc this guy is 1 of a kind very very nice, kind, easy to talk to, gave you every info you needed, he even opened up the Map of Florence and gave us the 1st thing to do what you should see the 1st day 2nd and so on. GEANLUC :):):)

The breakfast was great. The manager was very friendly and helpful. We told him that we only had one day in Florence so he gave us a map and circled 10 or 12 places that we shouldn't miss, that we could walk to. We made it to most of them and were very happy with his recommendations.

It was all good.
It was super quiet in the room even though it was right in the city due to the two sets of double glazed doors and windows. The room had a balcony giving a great view of the street. We could come and go as we pleased due being given the access codes to the building. There is a communal outer terrace with seats and tables, enclosed by well kept hedges even though you are on the second floor of the building. It was very close to the restaurants and city attractions plus the tram station was just a 5 minute walk. The central bus station was a 12 minute walk away and this was the meeting point for all the excursions. The central rail station was a 15 minute walk. The beds are large were very comfortable. There was lots of extra pillows to get your perfect sleeping position. The bathroom was modern and clean and the shower was excellent with a consistent water temperature. There was a fridge in the room and plenty of wardrobe hanging space.

My bed was a bit more firm than I like, but as that is a personal preference, I’m sure many others would enjoy a supportive sleep.
Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. We had many delicious croissants and pastries. We were also given many other choices such as eggs, yogurt, toast, and plenty of coffee or cappuccinos.
