Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyIf you are traveling by car, parking is not very easy, but it is manageable. We would recommend parking on the “dead-end” street close to the apartment. Based on our experience, this seems to be the only place to park, but there’s a good chance you’ll find a spot there.
Communication with the host was very easy. She replied promptly, and we were able to resolve all our questions. She is also very easy to reach via WhatsApp. The A/C units work well, although only three of them can be used at a time. However, this is absolutely sufficient, so there were no issues at all. The place is superb—it’s basically in the backyard of a castle. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and it’s close to both the train station and a supermarket.

United StatesLocation. My wife and I were in Ostia Antica primarily to visit the archaeological site, and a bonus was that the apartment was within a 5 minute walk. The apartment is located on the second story and was clean and comfortable. Frederica stayed in-touch through emails, so we knew how to enter. The apartment looks out onto the church and the castle so there is a great view of essentially the entire borgo. And, the area was quiet, as there are no cars within the borgo walls. We parked in a gravel parking area located off a street near the archaeological entrance across from the main porta. It took us a few minutes after we arrived and drove around for a while that this was the best accessible place to park. And, it was only about a 3 minute walk to the apartment. We noticed that the street parking was always full. At night for dinners we found L'Alimentari, a restaurant which is located just outside the back porta. It has great food and friendly service. Best to go after about 7:30 pm. Or, there is a supermercato across from the main porta to bring back to the fully furnished kitchen. We couldn't have found a better apartment or location in which to stay!

United StatesThe showers are incredibly tiny and uncomfortable. I know a lot of Europe is like this, but we all dreaded having to deal with the showers.
The windows in the living room and dining room open right up to the beautiful church and castle. It was stunning! The kitchen was nicely stocked for cooking. There are several restaurants within walking distance and a grocery store and pharmacy right across the street. The location was perfect if you're looking for a more authentic Italian experience. There were not many tourists at all. Our host left us breakfast treats and juice and there was coffee and tea as well. We had our morning coffee with the church bells each day!

CanadaReally nothing. Understand that you are in a very old section of a town outside of Rome... its airport access is the bonus. Plus, a 5 minute walk to the train station gets you right into Rome (Porto S. Paolo).. and close to Trestavere!. At a very small cost (you can choose $7€ for 24 hour rail pass).
super great location close to FCO airport. Federica was very responsive with good tips. Great instructions. Very large rental property.. there were 4 of us adults and one baby.. with essentially 3 bedrooms!. Federica supplied essentially everything you need for a short trip.. condiments, extra towels, umbrellas, washing machine, etc. Great place to stay!

United StatesNothing. Maybe I should have spent a week here! I felt at home there
It's a large home with lots of room for a group of people. Two bathrooms and a full kitchen. Easy to sleep 5 or 6 people. The best part is the home is in the middle of a magical place! It's part of Ostia history. The citizens of Ostia moved here after a naval battle in 848. Augustine's mother is buried where the church next door was built. It's a charming location!
