Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MaltaWhat i didn't like was that the noise from the common área and the noise from the people who lived above it. Even I don't know if it's written true. But I had the toilet attached to my room, but for the shower, I had to go out of my room and go to the shower.
It's a nice room that got everything needed. I felt like im in my bedroom. Clean, the bed was comfortable for a 3 stay it was perfect. I was right in the heart of everything. Shops, restaurants, and even history were here in one place. I would come back to the same facility.

PolandThere was a musty smell in the room, some problems with the ventilation, I believe, as there was a dehumidifier in the main area. I had to open the window every time when coming back to the room as it was not a pleasant smell. If someone has any breathing problems, it may be a problem.
Amazing location, one of the main streets. Stuff is super friendly and helpful. The main room was big, the other bedroom super tiny, but comfortable. Available coffee and tea.

RomaniaIt was the worst accomodation ever Everything was horrible except the location, which was excellent. I don't advise anybody to stay here due to: - horrible smell in the room and bathroom (there are serious mold problem, I don't know how they obtain authorization from the health department) - no window to refresh the air, - the noise done by the external air conditioning equipment which were at our window and makes a hard noise, the external equipment is for all apartments, so the noise was continuu during the night - it's an appartment and the owner rented as 3 individual rooms; we heard all neighbors from the apartment and also from the above floor, very unpleasant, it feels like they were with you in the room (no insulation) - a very disturbing noise in the night from a dog or many (from the above floor and near to the apartment, seems to be more dogs in the building) that walks all night and drags its collar that rubs the floor, it feels like it was with us in the room, - the horrible smell at the entrance in the building, - everything smells horrible, including the towels due to the mold. We asked for reimbursement and want to search for other location, but the host did not answer. We did not know the procedure for the reimbursement, and also booking.com did not answer in due time.

ItalyThe bathroom - it was too small, the soap dispenser was broken/soap wasn't filled, shower could have used some type of bleach cleaner, throwing used toilet paper in the trashcan, and the metal shower organizer was rusted. There was also mold on the wall (under where a towel hanger is located)
I loved the location.

AustraliaThree flights of stairs without a lift. Hallway littered with dead cockroachs. Guest house not exclusively booked to our group and a third bedroom rented to people unknown to us. No mention if this or lack of lift. “Courtyard view” laughable. I can attach pics.

PortugalFirst, we weren't properly informed that the place was an apartment shared with other occupants. Although we had a private bathroom, it was inconvenient to access the shower through a common corridor, as the tiny en-suite bathroom in our room only had a toilet and sink. The towels provided were of such poor quality that they left lint all over my face, making me prefer to use my shirt instead. Additionally, the lock on our room door was faulty and would come off every time we tried to close it, compromising our sense of security. The bathtub divider also constantly came off its track whenever we tried to slide it shut, leading to water flooding the bathroom floor during showers, which we had to clean up afterwards. Finally, although a hairdryer was advertised, it was unusable because it couldn't be plugged in properly, which was especially inconvenient as I needed it for a conference.
The central location of Approdo Rooms in Cagliari was perfect for us, making it incredibly convenient to visit all our planned spots with ease. We were in town for work and had only one day to explore, so the proximity to everything was a huge advantage. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find bottled water available in the room, which was amazing in the hot weather. The room also provided air conditioning, which helped us sleep better because it was so hot. Additionally, the abundance of towels provided was a thoughtful touch.

AustraliaThere was a strong and terrible smell, concentrated in the common area but also in my room as it was right next to the common area. I have read other reviews talking about the smell with people suggesting it was mould. It smelt more like chemicals to me and really horrible. Either way, I suspect it is a health hazard. It, combined with whoever lives upstairs clomping around in hard shoes until about 2am, with plumbing sounds going on and off, stopped me sleeping the first night until about 4:30am. The room as photographed on booking looks about 300% better than the reality. It was dark without the lights on, kind of dingey (windows dirty so not the light and airy room that is portrayed on booking). The list of detail of the room needs to be modified - there is no view onto a courtyard, only onto neighbouring AC units, dirty rooftops and ripped flyscreens; there is no dishwasher in the kitchen or clothes-drying rack & one of the curtains needs repairing. The shower was great water-wise but it wouldn't stay at a height and kept sliding down the pipe to chest height; water collected in the base of the shower so it seems like he drain needs to be cleared out; the toilet seat appeared to be broken and there was water dripping from time to time. What upset me a lot (second only to the smell) was that I had requested being able to leave my luggage early and the reply said they would do what they could but couldn't tell me ahead so when I arrived, having pulled my luggage up from the station and found nobody there and finally got in contact, I was told that they didn't store luggage and to go to the storage place which was back down near the station. If I had been told that in the beginning, I would have saved myself making two trips and would have felt that the hosts were a lot more hospitable.
The location was really convenient. Luisa gave a fair bit of information about restaurants plus also things that were going on in Cagliari over the weekend, which was really helpful.

United StatesThe images provided on the website depict Eja Sardinia as a hotel – but it is just someone's small apartment. The entry to the building is through an old door that is difficult to open and up 3 flights of dirty, dimly lit stairs. The entry to the room is through a small kitchen, into the room which does not look like the photos. It's really jarring, the difference between the beautiful photos and the dark, cramped experience of actually going. I wouldn't be bothered if the photos were accurate – but my expectations based on the listing were severely mismatched. Would not stay here again. If you're under 25 and are on a budget, and are just staying for one night, this is perfectly fine.
Location is convenient. The host is very communicative.

United KingdomCouldn’t recommend this place more for a city break in Cagliari (with great beaches nearby). The room is situated right in the centre but was still super quiet at night. There’s great food and drinks in Piazza Yenne around the corner with a mix of locals and tourists. The host Luisa is so lovely, welcoming and helpful. She came to meet us on our first morning and gave us advise on where to go and what to do and was always available for our questions. The room itself was really nice and clean!

United KingdomThe common spaces were poor. Firstly, the common stairwell was tatty, as was the common 'kitchen'. The kitchen is pictured in full, but afterwards you receive an email saying 'cooking isn't possible'?? Furthermore, the kitchen light lasts all of 60 seconds before you're in the dark again, forcing you to use the hob light or a torch on your phone. The coffee machine base had not been emptied, thus when I adjusted the tray it leaked old coffee all over the kitchen. There is no kitchen roll, so I had to clean the mess with toilet paper. Classy. Extra-classy is being under constant video surveillance while in the kitchen common space. Additionally, both rooms were advertised as having private bathrooms. Fine. Only one had a shower. That was unclear. For over 180 euros, one night, midweek - it's severely disappointing.
Great location. The actual bedrooms were very large and the build quality was good.

ItalyYou should be aware of many things before reserving your spot here or probably in any other old building in the historic center. The buildings are made of Limestone, which makes the environment incredibly moist and uncomfortable. People with chronic sinusitis, asthma, allergies, or any respiratory disease are highly recommended not to stay there. Also, given the shape of the town and the poor sewer system, there is a very bad smell throughout the town alleys, and when it rains, it is worse. It was so strong that I could not use the balcony. Moreover, at night, cockroaches came out and populate the bathroom. The water smell is very strong, probably ferruginous, but it's not harmful. I do not think the owners can do anything about these issues as it is a structural problem of the town center. If you have particular needs, better opt for a recently built structure or those out of the center.
Exactly in the center. Near the main square of Cagliari. Easy to reach by plane/train/bus. The location is probably the best you can find.
