Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing. It’s a wonderful property with lovely staff.
The property is impeccably decorated and furnished throughout, with an outstanding level of comfort in the room. The breakfast terrace overlooking the tree and a pine tree forest is perfect to start the day and the staff add a touch of charm to the breakfast experience. You would never leave the breakfast area if the hotel was not so close to a wonderful, large sandy beach!! The distance between the hotel and the beach is less than 100 meters, so one can move between room and beach during the day fairly seamlessly to enjoy some rest or to go back to the wonderful terrace where aperitifs and light lunches can be enjoyed.

United KingdomEverything was super. If I could only suggested one thing it will be nice to have a swimming pool on site.
The place is stunning, its modern, it’s in front of the beach, it’s very well located, in 10 minutes you got to see the Museum archeologia Paestum and around 12 minutes you are going to see Agropoli old town that is stunning. The staff at Aquamaris were kind and super accommodating, Luigi made the stay special. I can’t recommend enough this place.

The overall stay was great. The Staff was incredibly helpful, both during our (late) check-in and our regular interactions. The room had everything we needed, and the access to the beach was great. Totally recommend.

AustraliaThe room was absolutely lovely. I booked a room with a balcony garden view, though it was very nice it had no windows and I get anxious in closed of rooms and when I asked for another room they were able to move me to a balcony room with sea views at an extra cost which I paid and for me was worth it, having a large glass door that opens onto the balcony letting light into the room. The grounds are well maintained and breakfast in the morning was lovely as was the lady who looked after us at check in and at breakfast. Secure parking was a bonus and the quality of the linens were excellent.

IsraelThe fact that we had to leave after one night only.
If there is perfection in this world, this is a place where you'll find it. Brand new structure (inaugurated last August),100 meters from the sea, a few minutes by car from the wonderful site of Paestum, with its temples and oustanding museum. Warm welcome by owner, who also gave us permission to take beach beds from the garden to the beach, where we watched sunset, almost alone - a moment of grace indeed. Very nice, clean, modern and well-equipped room. Breakfast on a roof with seaview, with a very kind lady providing for everything you need. To sum up: exceptional.

RussiaUnfortunately, a few things went wrong during our stay: 1. The biggest issue that ruined our experience was the persistent, nauseating smell of animal feces. I don’t know why nobody mentioned it in reviews — maybe it’s a recent problem. Every evening around 8 p.m. the street reeked of cow/horse feces, and the smell lasted until 6–7 a.m. It was unbearable, the kind of vomit-inducing smell that made it impossible to enjoy the outdoors. We had to close our door and stay inside. Honestly, I’ve never smelled anything this bad. Maybe my girlfriend and I have especially sensitive noses, but it made us want to check out and stay elsewhere. Sadly, the smell was present more or less in the whole city. 2. Our room had no windows. This was shown in the photos, so technically it’s on us, but honestly — you don’t expect a 4-star hotel to have windowless rooms. 3. Because of this, the room felt extremely claustrophobic. The only source of light and air was the terrace door, but we couldn’t leave it open because the terrace wasn’t private, and our room was on the ground floor in a fairly busy area. With the door open, we had zero privacy — everyone could hear us and we felt watched. With the door closed, the room felt like a shoebox. 4. You would expect a windowless room to at least be well-lit. Ours wasn’t. It only had three lamps: two small bedside ones and a single LED strip on the ceiling. It was fairly dark all day long. 5. The shower was frustrating. No matter how we left it, every time we turned it on, the rainfall shower automatically started — blasting cold water. For someone with long hair, this was awful. My hairstyle got ruined several times until I learned to stand away from the shower when turning it on. 6. We ordered wine, but the hotel didn’t have wine glasses. Instead, we were given plastic cups, it felt like a college party. Alongside the wine, we were served snacks we didn’t order (chips and cookies).
The beach was really nice. Previous guests complained about dragging umbrellas to the beach — this issue has now been fixed, so kudos to the hotel for listening to feedback. The beach itself is beautiful, fairly clean, and much less crowded than the ones nearby. Service was great. The owners and staff are very nice, attentive, and most of them speak English very well. The cleaning service was impeccable, with bedding changed every 3 days. A coffee machine, kettle, and hairdryer were available in the room. The taxi drivers arranged by the hotel were also polite and reliable.

Hungary- No soundproofing at all. You can hear absolutely everything from your neighbours, how they wash, how they snore, how they walk inside the room. Quality of wall materials is like paper sheet. This was extremely annoying and we were disturbed every night by neighbours (and I’m afraid they heard us well as well) and every early morning by the breakfast lady. To be honest all the noise may simply ruin your time in the hotel - Absolutely unprofessional management team. Once we provided our feedback they were nice and accepting comments however later the day we received absolutely disgusting message by whatsapp claiming that our review was untrue and false. That’s terrible and first time we face this level of communication ever
- Very close to the beach and some places of interest like Paestum archeological site - Beach sunbeds and umbrellas are provided for free by the hotel team - Overall friendly and helpful team even not speaking english (or us speaking italian) was open to communication and easy going, that’s nice - Free and safe parking space

United KingdomPhotos show spa and hot tub but this is chargeable at a high rate. Towels for beach had to be hired. Location really quite poor with anywhere to eat or see a car journey away. Light lunch could be purchased (which was very nice) but no other options.

GermanyThe suite we've booked was large and very good, but did not offer sea view as shown on booking.com - there was only a small balcony on the side where large people can barely stand which offers a view to the breakfast terrace with the sea behind it. It seems the only two rooms have full sea view. The garden with seating options is very nice. Using the other part of the garden with the whirl pool shown on the photos costs 30 EUR extra per person for a few hours - which was not transparent when booking the apartment. They also charge a lot for mini bar etc compared to other hotels in the region. The breakfast area is open air, which is nice on sunny days, but we were freezing on a windy morning. This house has a lot of potentials, but it seems that they are not unlocked right now.
A new and nice, small apartment hotel near the beach with great rooms; but there are also drawbacks. There is no pool and they charge a lot extra for using the whirlpool, the common areas are all open air (not good on windy or rainy days). Good breakfast, but no fresh bread and without variations. Safe parking lot, a short walk to the beach.
