I couldn't use the WiFi and the reception said the code on display didn't work! One bathroom niggle was a dispenser for body wash/shampoo would have been better than the hard to tear open sachets. I'd say not the best value for money based on the price paid.

A very short walking distance from the railway and long distance bus station. This is an old style property. Check in was OK and a passport details quickly captured for the registration. €2 city tax payable by cash as the room has already been prepaid. Room was OK. Comfortable bed and bathroom in reasonable condition. I left too early to take breakfast which would have been an extra amount.

Heating in the room didn't work, however the staff fixed it well. No breakfast available on 1 January 2025.

Before I arrived I informed the hotel that I have osteoarthritis & problems with my spine so needed a room that was easily accessible. I was given the furthest possible room from the entrance with absolutely no facilities & as th hotel only served breakfast, I had to go out every evening to eat. Staff were friendly & polite but although they knew I was struggling & inpain didn’t help me carry anything to my room which was up about 40 steps.

We used the hotel for just one night during our road trip to Sicily. The staff was very kind and since the hotel had no parking, they let us use the space on the street in front of the hotel, which was very much appreciated.

Inexpensive older traditional hotel, slightly tired (no plugs in sink or bidet, shelf absent in bathroom). No lift, 4 flights to second floor. Friendly staff, very close to bus station so great access on bus to Ortigia. Some free parking in street outside.

There is no lift (not a bother for us but may be for others) and my pillow was a bit hard (minor).

A bit outdated, airco didn't seem to work, TV didn't work, we got the remote control at the reception which was a bit weird. Breakfast very basic. We seemed to be the only guests. Overall a pleasant experience, but do not expect too much.

Not all of the staff speaks English, but they are all very friendly. Convenient location next to the train station.

Honestly we only stayed one night and went to bed early so had no issues, aside from a stiff neck. Maybe could have more substantial pillows.

The windows were ca 3 meter high so I couldn't open them nor close the curtain and it was a lot of light that disturbed my sleep. (Second floor) I could add 5 Euros for breakfast but I asked the money back as it was only coffee and 2 piece of dry cake and in the photos they show tasty products which don't exist! If you come for 1 night and travel by train it's ok But it's at least 30 minutes walk to the city. I didn't mind this as I love to walk but not on an empty stomach :(

That breakfast is not available and the restaurant which seems beautiful and functional isn’t up and running.

I do not speak Italian, and I have used translate app to communicate with the staff. I like the fact that the tall gentleman who speak a little English (who I forgot his name, so sorry) was very warm and helpful with my stay. The lady and other gentleman was very kind also even though they speak no English. As a British black woman travelling alone I felt very welcomed and safe. Zero discrimination, I needed a place that would provide a good experience with safety. I was not expecting boujee i like the old feel and decor. I like the location of the property as it’s 10-12 minutes away from Ortigia Island. My room was clean, bedding, bathroom and the overall hotel.
