I’m a Real Estate Agent and the number of keys to get thru gates lobby entrances did my head in especially one door which had old locks for the life of me I couldn’t open the bloody thing ! I had to call one of the staff members to let me in ! Grrrrrr !!!

I guess you only get what you pay for! The room was spotless not just in terms of cleanliness but also in presentation! We had a lovely view of the long beach albeit shadowed by trees ! Aircon worked perfectly! The room was serviced every day in a meticulous fashion! Breakfast was more than substantial you could have eggs done any way you want if you prefer a more traditional breakfast! The real surprise was the hotel had a dedicated driver to take us to a more secluded beautiful beach and it wasn’t crowded which also included deck lounges and umbrellas for free !

Only one thing; The sound of the other people passing by in the hallway. It was kinda noisy.

Great stay! Very helpful staff with helping arranging restaurants. Great transport to the beach.

The only downside was that beach access was via a shuttle. While the service worked very well and the beach itself was a beautiful stretch of coastline, for ease and comfort, we would have preferred direct access across the road so we could easily return to the apartment throughout the day.

We had a fantastic stay! The apartment offered a wonderful view and was within walking distance to restaurants and Sperlonga Centro, making it incredibly convenient. The host was exceptional—we truly appreciated her effort in arranging for our family to stay together during the same period. The breakfast spread was generous, and enjoying it on the terrace with a sea view made it even more special. Highly recommended!

Where to begin! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Adrianna and Gaetano, which immediately made us feel at home. The property is modern and beautifully furnished, and our room was spacious with a breathtaking sea view. Each morning, we enjoyed an amazing breakfast served on the garden terrace overlooking the sea—a truly unforgettable way to start the day.

Housekeeping - they would always take your used towels even if that was not your intention, and they'd often forget to replace them. They would rearrange your things in ways that didn't make sense (e.g., moving all the bath products like soaps and lotions from the bathroom to the bed each day). While staff were lovely, they created some confusion for us with unclear instructions for the beach shuttle. They indicated the shuttle stopped running relatively early, around 3pm or so, but that wasn't the case and we were able to return on the shuttle whenever wanted. And they never offered us beach towels so we assumed they were available on the beach - not the case. You must remember and ask for towels as it may not occur to them to offer. I suggest they put beach towels in the rooms to make it all easier. The price to quality ratio wasn't great, but I know it was super high season. I would stay here again but avoiding high season.

Il Volo seems to be an annex to Villa Maria Luxury Suites. We booked late given it was high season so I was pleased to find this highly rated option available. Location was fantastic - across the street from the beach and centrally located in the charming Sperlonga town (the lower part). There were plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. They also arrange a free shuttle to the fabulous Bazzana Beach (about 15 mins drive) and gave us good recommendations for taxis and restaurants. Breakfast was sufficient (fruits, yogurt, breads, cheese, meats and pastries) and we later learned we could have eggs (there was some confusion about whether this was an option but they provide them and they were well-prepared). The owner (a woman whose name I didn't catch) was very kind. Staff were also very kind though not always well-informed or trained (more on that below). The rooms were in an apartment building next to the main building. They look like the photos. Simple, but clean and comfortable with a very large bathroom and adequate bath products. The A/C worked wonderfully and my room had a little terrace facing the beach.

Nothing , it’s perfect .

Beautiful apartments, across from the beach , with restaurants nearby. Roberto and his staff are very welcoming , and helpful. Rooms are modern, clean with lovely bathrooms and air conditioned . I highly recommend II Volo .

Expecting full ocean view but view was only if you went out onto small balcony. No jug, glasses, cup.

The mattress was a bit too hard but that is a minor detail in comparison on overall stay which I consider excellent. Mille grazie Federica, Roberto and the Staff.

The property is beautiful with internal parking and the staff is very kind. The building is in front of the beach and the breakfast is very good.

Spotless and roomy rooms with views of the sea. Great buffet breakfast with staff to assist.

The staff were so helpful with trying to assist us in getting a taxi from Fondi train station.

If you want to walk outside your room onto the beach, this is not the place for you. Didn't see any staff later in the day so if you needed help at that time you would have to make a call. We needed no help.

I would describe this a modern, boutique hotel, right in town, but with access to the beach across the street. Our room was in a separate building adjacent to the parking area and not in the main building where you have breakfast and where the office is. (Not sure if there are any rooms in the main building.) Very close and walkable to the main beach area, restaurants, shops and historic center. Off street parking. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful terrace and grounds. Access to rooms on 2nd floor via elevator. Our room had a nice balcony but not a view of the sea. Fresh breakfast with many choices. Staff was courteous and attentive.

Neighbors are close to enjoy privacy on balcony. But this is only a slight issue when everything was near perfect

Two days before arrival we received a message from Il Volo that we should arrive at the hotel not later than 16.30, as the staff's working day ends at 17.00. This requirement was not stated when confirming the booking, it was completely unexpected for us. We would certainly have cancelled the booking if we had known about it in advance. We booked a 24 m2 room, but the room was no more than 18 m2, while the staff claimed the room was 24 m2. In the wardrobe, the hanger bar was mounted so high that it was impossible to reach it to hang clothes.
