How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewAzzurro House is Super, we loved it so much. You could enjoy the scenery and relax yourself when you leaving here. The breakfast is beautiful and delicious. The owner is a very very kind people, they have a welcomed dog too. If you have children be together with you, this home must be your first choice. We only stay two days here, but we will never forget it, we missing father, missing dog, missing the food, the scenery.....everything.....

The staff were fantastic - their warm, welcoming approach and the way they brought everyone together at the breakfast table was truly special. Verified reviewAbsolutely everything! First-the host. Amazing, friendly people! It was very warm due to the fireplace, which is used for the heating. We loved the super comfortable bed and pillows-slept like babies! Exceptional breakfast with the local hand-made food! It’s very close to the paths with cascades. Very beautiful place and in summer it’s only going to be better, 100% will return!

Verified review-Dikke 10! The owner and employees (family business) is beyond imagination of hospitality. And being a foodie myself the breakfast is 100% delicious en niet te zoet gelukkig. ;D -In love with the swimming pool & beautiful family. -We are very observant of hygiene when we go somewhere and never have we found something unclean they clean it thoroughly, daily & also the pool! -Prachtig uitzicht en onze 2de boeking staat al vast!
Honestly everything was beyond good that was in control of the hostess. Maybe as tip: mention for people with allergies of cats or dogs etc , that these are living in the garden. <3 De omgeving valt wel tegen jammer genoeg (als je hier langer wilt blijven dan 5 dagen) , we hebben in een week tijd geen lekkere restaurants kunnen vinden en alles is ver rijden. Maar kom je echt om tot rust te komen en minimale activiteiten is dit wel echt dé schoonste, goede host en rustgevende plek voor jou!

Verified reviewEverything was exceptional. Surroundings, mountain view, calm and quiet country house and pool. Unimaginable breakfasts! From amazing pastry (from local pasticceria), through delicious formaggi to excellent eggs with truffles! Atmospheric interiors perfect for rest, and terrace on which you should dine at least once! Everything you need for perfect Italian vacation! But the most important - hosts. Lucia and her father, people with such warmth, kindness and hospitality we've never dreamed to expierence. We spend there just seven days and they already have a special place in our hearts and memory.
Only 'downside' was that we couldn't stay longer :)

Verified reviewThis is, by far, the most comfortable and beautiful b&b we have ever stayed at. If you are in the area, you must book this stay. Lucia is warm and welcoming, the decor is lovely (so much history!), The beds are comfortable, fresh towels, fantastic pool and scenery, the breakfast is to die for. We loved the use of local ingredients, the fabulous local restaurant suggestions and all the comforts of home. Lucia is an amazing host and we highly recommend this b&b.

we arrived and spent about 10 minutes there before deciding to leave despite prepaying for the room. It’s in a bad location - next to what looks to be a house under construction. It was very dark inside. I’m allergic to cats and there were cats all over including 2 in the room when we went in there. Lucy offered to clean the room more thoroughly but, for those with cat allergies, it’s the lingering dander that causes the allergies. I assumed there was air conditioning in the room which would have helped but there wasn’t - probably my fault for not looking closely enough at the description.
Good morning, I'm sorry to read this review. I guess the first negative review had to come sooner or later. I respect the comment from Michael but would like to clarify a few points for future visitors reading. A few days before Michael's arrival we adopted two white kittens, obviously they were very young and were learning the house rules thanks to our senior cat, Luna. So in total that's three outdoor free cats, no more. When Michael arrived the cats were outside, in fact his wife had gone to pet them. After the room keys were handed over, Michael probably left the reception door open to get through faster with the bags (rightly so) and the kittens came in following him to the room (wrongly). Before each guest arrives, the rooms are sanitized and I personally ask each one if there are any intolerances or allergies to report. The gentleman had made no reference to any allergies otherwise I would have been more careful not to let the kittens near him. I offered to change rooms immediately! Not because it was dirty before his arrival, but because the kittens had entered the room after finding both the reception door and the room door open. Of course I apologize profusely for the mishap, these things should not happen but I find both the reaction and the review score excessive. Also, in the two simple double rooms it is well specified that there are no air conditioners precisely because the two rooms have very thick stone walls (1 meter or so), are well insulated, have small windows precisely to keep the heat out, and face northwest. Verified reviewLucia, (daughter) and Germano, (father) are great hosts - very kind and passionate. You can feel their passion about local food or in case of Germano old-time heritage (almost antiquites) and very special objects that he collects all around Italy and place in and around the building. Breakfasts are amazing, with localy produced products and also overal facilities are very nice, swimgpool is nice and clean, with showers and chairs, even ping-pong table with rackets and balls ready :) Parking is available and also appartments are well furnished. Overall very nice experience that we can only recomend.
not a lot to mention, only thing could be attention if you have an appartment in the ground floor next to breakfast room, to be aware that that appartment does not have direct windows/view outside, although appartment is on the other hand very comfortable and has a hydro-massage bath, for example.
