A great place to stay in the beautiful old town of Sulmona

It would be good to know what the breakfast entitlement is, we were a bit confused when we came to the cafeteria nearby to claim it as there seems to be no set monetary value to it. It transpired that all we could have was one pastry and a choice of coffee with one refill, perhaps it would have been best to ask the host when he gave us the vouchers, which unfortunately we didn't.

A comfortable en-suite room on the edge of the old town, within a walking distance to all the town's main attractions, (BTW while next to piazza Garibaldi do not miss the Gelateria La Rotonda at the top of the steps to the old church as they serve some divine ice cream) The view from our first floor room was limited to the walls of the house opposite, but it might be more interesting from the room above. The stairs leading to the room are quite steep but it wasn't a problem for us. The shower room is separate from the toilet which is great. The aircon was blowing ice cold which literally saved us from a heat stroke as it was extremely hot outside (it can be adjusted up and down though). There is a sizable fridge in the cupboard to help keep your groceries and drinks cool. Free parking is available a couple hundred meters away, but don't be tempted to use the external lift nearby - it doesn't work. We would happily return.

Nice property right in the centre of the old town, quiet and very clean, with a comfy bed. Staff are polite and helpful. Breakfast is included at a local cafe/patisserie, which serves great coffee and has a wide selection of pastries.
