Great location, close to the port and a beautiful view!

This property was in a great location, close to the port and just a short walk from all restaurants. Marco, the host, was extremely kind and friendly, offering us a cold beer on check in. He organised a great trip boat with the skipper Umberto, and it was a highlight of our trip. Marcos place had a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea which is the perfect place to relax after a busy day! I would definitely recommend B&B AcquaDolce for a stay in Cala Gonone.

We had a lovely stay at BnbAcquaDolce. The host, Marco was so lovely and welcoming. Beautiful location. The room is located within Marco's house, but has a huge private balcony to enjoy.

The only thing was that because it's within a shared house, you do hear chatter and general noise outside your door at times but its nothing too disrupting.

Great location, and Marco was very friendly. Room was comfortable, and included toiletries etc in the shower.

The room smelt a little bit like cigarettes and since we had a back facing room it was a bit dark. Worth paying more probably for the ocean facing room since views from the front of the house were great. No breakfast. Coffee only.

We had a lovely stay with Marco in his beautiful home. We stayed in a room with a huge terrace looking over the sea which has amazing sunrise views. The room and bathroom were very clean, and everything was in great condition. The property is a short walking distance to bars and restaurants, and about a minute to the port. Fully recommend staying here. Marco is a lovely host.

It would have been nice to have had two sets of keys, as me and my husband had a day of doing separate activities, but this is a minor issue.

We booked a sea view room in Cala Gonone because it was hyped up to be beautiful. Well, after travelling the island for 3 weeks I can say it didn't live up to expectations. The other parts of the island are far better! The only thing it offers are restaurants and boat cruises to see Neptune Grotto which again is overpriced and hyped up. It's a small town with nothing else to offer. Hugely touristy and the B&B's take advantage of this in their prices...

The breakfast had to be the worst I've ever experienced anywhere. Terrible coffee, microwaved milk. A lump of bread was for breakfast with some jam portions (of which only peach was left...). There was some fluorescent coloured peach juice that we didn't touch that was served to us each day (you think he'd get the hint...) The same Madeira cake was served to us for 4 days... There was no ham, no meats, no cheese, no croissants... absolutely nothing nice what so ever. He served the same macaroons to us for 3 days that we didn't touch - and God knows who got served them before us because they looked stale and old. The same 4 banana yoghurts put out day after day... The apples were so old they were wrinkly. No variation of anything and certainly no quality. If you wanted a sugar and bread fest for breakfast that was old and had flies land on it constantly then this is your B&B! We were also made to have our breakfast at 8am despite it saying it was served up to 10:30am. We were so peeved.... The room was adequate size but as I'd booked a 'triple room' I was wondering where the sofa bed was that I'd paid for... No sign of it. The bathroom was dirty. A fridge was provided but it was right next to your pillow which I had to turn off as it kept disturbing me. Hair and dog hair everywhere. Old, discoloured towels that mismatched. Mould in the grout in the shower. A rotting piece of wood as a shelf in the shower!? Dirty mats on the floor. The property stank of cigarettes and spraying heavy aerosol cans at 7am in the hallway wasn't very welcome as it woke me up. Spare pillow in the wardrobe was dirty and greasy from someone's head. Our room was never cleaned or the bed made in any of the 4 days. He changed our towels once. Bins left overflowing. The sea view really wasn't anything special. No beach or sand, just a sea wall and some rocks.

Marco is a charming and attentive host, always helpful and friendly. The location is superb, overlooking the sea, on the quiet side of town but just minutes walk from the port and excellent restaurants. The standard of decoration and attention to detail is really impressive - all done by Marco, who is rightly proud of it. We were a bit puzzled that our "B&B" stay didn't include breakfast but this was actually a positive once we realised because there are some fine breakfast places in Cala Gonone.

Marco gave us a warm welcome and it was pleasant staying at the B&B. It was a nice and clean room and I slept very well. We enjoyed staying here and nearby you go on a hiking trail that lead to a beautiful place and cave and there is a lot to choose of activities nearby.

Marco was a very friendly host and looked after us very well. We stayed in the garden view room which was good but the location of this B&B was highlight. There is free parking on the road outside the property which Marco pointed out to us.

The aqua theme was so lovely - blue and ocean inspired it really fit the vibe well. The balcony and sea view are really the selling point - incredible view and morning sunrises from the balcony.

The bed was not great. it was kind of uncomfortable and a bit small for a couple. Plus paying in cash

The host went out of his way to get us a good parking spot (when you arrive, drive up to the place and he'll help), to help us with our stuff, to give good information about the town, to chat about this and that. He's a really nice guy. He goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and happy. The room we stayed in was big with a great balcony with a great view of the sea on which we enjoyed our own little aperative with beer and chips and stuff we bought at the hotel shop nearby. The internet was too slow to upload some videos for work, but good enough for regular surfing. I didn't like paying at the property in cash. As someone coming from overseas I'd prefer not to carry a lot of cash around with me. I failed to read the print on booking.com that stated I have to pay in cash, so that's my fault.

Marco was a very good host! He was very welcoming and we felt very welcome in his house! Also the location was perfect!

The owner was very helpful and kind. The property is in very good shape and very clean and comfortable. It is in the perfect location, a quick walk down to the port where you can rent or take a boat and enjoy the beaches. The owner gave us wonderful recommendations on places to eat, which were also very close by, I would highly recommend this property!

Very nice property, everything newly renovated. The location is perfect if you are taking a boat from Cala Gonone - you are a 5 min walk from the port and a beach. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. Host is kind and goes out of his way to help you. He reserves a parking spot for you in front of the hotel. There is also free street parking available around the hotel, keep in mind that roads are very steep so parking can sometimes be a challenge in Cala Gonone! Everything was great and would stay here again!

Fabulous location looking at the sea and near the port. A beautifully set up apartment with a lovely big balcony. The cleanest place we have ever stayed in. Marco,our host , could not have done enough for us. Including organising a parking space across the road for us. A plentiful & delicious breakfast.

Perfect B&B in a beautiful place. The room is fine, but the terrace is absolutely perfect, huge with a beautiful view - I absolutely recommend it ! The host is totally friendly, including to our dog and the breakfast was so great and the whole house has a good feeling.

I loved my stay here, I had the room with the private balcony which was wonderful with a fantastic view and the whole B & B was absolutely lovely, very clean and smelt great too. Marco was a fantastic host, very welcoming, kind and generous. He asked me what I like for breakfast and the next day it was there and he had a good selection as well. He is very attentive to all his guests needs. My bed was very comfortable and the mini fridge is so cool it was amazing as was the air conditioning in the room. Nothing is too much trouble for Marco and that's why I would highly recommend staying here, if I returned I would definitely stay here again. Also very close to shops, amenities and the marina.
