There is nothing we did not like. The road up is in good condition but if you aren't used to driving in the mountains just take your take and go slow. You have to 3 point turn the 2 hairpin turns at the top. Which is not a problem if you take your time.

Everything was amazing! The b&b is beautiful, the view from there is fantastic! Everything was very clean. Breakfast was so good. And most of all, Elisa's hospitality was the best we have experienced. Her and her family treated us as if we were family. There are a lot of beautiful places to stay in this area but the warmth and hospitality here made it the highlight of our holiday.

Elisa is an amazing host. She really looked after us. She gave us great recommendations for visiting near by places. The room was very comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was a continental feast. We really loved our weekend away, wish we could have stayed longer.

Very warm welcome from a lovely hostess. Comfortable, practical and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very nice breakfasts.

Can't recommend this place enough! We had a great time staying at al vecchio torchio. In summary: the place is super nice, relaxing and everyhting is really clean. The surroundings are beautiful (you can do easy hikes through the vineyards starting just a few steps away from the house) The breakfast is tasty (and doesn't leave you hungry). And Elisa and her family are really lovely people. Communication was quick and super friendly. Elisa answered every single one of our questions patiently and helped us wherever she could. Thanks again for having us, we really enjoyed staying with you.

Everything was at its best. The owner's family were very friendly and the conversation was very enjoyable. Breakfast was very good and adequate. The air was clean and napping on the rocks in the garden was a great feeling.

Elisa and family were wonderful hosts. They made us so welcome and made excellent recommendations for dining and activities in the area, in particular local artisan foods. The location is spectacular among ancient vineyards. The drive up to the property is steep but beautiful.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful and we wish we could have stayed longer. The B&B is an oasis of tranquillity and total relaxation. Elsa is the most wonderful host and provided us with all the information we needed for what was going on in the local area as well as where to eat and get special treats. Breakfast in the morning is an absolute delicious spread of local meats, cheeses, and homemade delights. This place is well worth those last 2km drive up. I want to come back just to stay here and enjoy the good nature of Elsa and her family.

Everything was perfect

Beautiful place, very comfortable beds, delicious local breakfast, and the hostess is extremely welcoming and accommodating. A hidden gem, that we will return to visit often. The surroundings are peaceful and beautiful, great hiking right from the property.

I think Al Vecchio Torchio must have been one of the most extraordinary places we've been too. A perfect place, a wonderfully renovated historical building, the most amazing host (family). We are already "com saudades" and will be back soon;)

The drive up the mountain does have some tight hair pin curves that are quite manageable, but one should not be afraid or shy.

Elisa, the owner, was really nice and helpfull. Great view and excellent rooms. These were very recent and comfy. Also the breakfast was nice and tasty, something different compared to other stays in the North of Italy. We definetly come back if we visit this region again in the future

As we were walking the Via Francigena, this was definitely off the track but SO worth the diversion! We were wonderfully greeted, shown around and were offered a dinner pickup as that was a long climb up to the top! (We ordered in from the local Osteria - so worth it!) Such a beautiful place to relax and wander around and the views! We were guided to take the Ancient Road down the next morning to meet up with the Via Francigena which worked out perfectly. Thank you for a great memory!
