    Bed was comfortable.

    Noisy: you can hear everything going on outside your room. We first experienced the owner’s rude behavior when he responded to a request for more toilet paper and coffee with “you should have thought of that before,” referring to the cleaners schedule of 10AM-11:30 AM. He justified not giving us toilet paper because my father had told him that we didn’t want them coming in while we were getting ready 10-10:30, but that meant that they could have easily come in between 10:30-11:30, but they didn’t. We had to purchase our own toilet paper to use. That is not hospitality. One day, we woke up to shouting in the hallway early in the morning. The same morning, our bathroom floor was covered in water coming from the toilet. The shower was filling up instead of draining. Our 2 family members staying next door to us stated that the cleaner informed them that the showers and toilets were leaking in rooms 2, 3, 4 and 5. We walked out of our room to ask for help then the owner’s mother approached us. She was shouting in our faces along with the cleaner demanding to know if we put toilet paper in the toilet. There is a sign above the toilet asking guests not to put toilet paper in the bowl. My stepmother asked earlier for clarification about what can go in the toilet and the cleaner told her toilet paper was okay to flush, just not other things. Instead of being apologetic about our bathroom being flooded, they were looking to scapegoat guests for a building issue and attempted to intimidate us. The owner then proceeded to shout at the top of his lungs in the foyer pointing his finger at us, demanding “let’s go now”, threatening us with “packing our bags”. My father (who is from Floridia) returned from breakfast and spoke with him to defuse the situation. B&B Archimede has poor customer service. Staff were rude and disrespectful. I would never recommend this B&B to anyone.

    Dear Adam, I believe you have stayed in another facility because we do not have any of what you say. I inform you that the toilet paper with the coffee pods were requested at 2:00 in the afternoon and not during cleaning hours, when there is no one in the facility you demanded other rolls and pods... in just one day you used up 2 rolls of toilet paper and 4 coffee pods, which are also free. You did not let us in and into the room after knocking and asking the father if those in room 2 needed anything, we were told not to disturb and I was there too as I am the owner. From the first day you demanded breakfast when it was not included in the reservation, insisting. The next day we were informed by those in rooms 4 and 5 that the toilets were clogged and the water was not draining from the shower heads. we asked those in room 1 to warn the son who was in room 2 not to use water because there were problems with clogged drains in room 3 there was no one. and we were informed that in room 2 there were no problems with water leaking while it was already flooded the night before. disrespectfully they still used the bathroom and took showers making the problem worse. they used the toilet as a bin throwing away everything including the coffee pods. when they left the rooms we asked with the translator where they had thrown the things and they pretended not to understand. we found nothing in the bins and we got angry at their arrogance and rudeness having no respect for the structure itself. with the intervention of the worker we managed to identify the problem which was between the toilet and the shower of room two and we understood that you had used the toilet as a bin. we repaired the damage and did not say anything out of politeness and to avoid further arguments. we specify that the gentlemen booked a double room and were assigned a quadruple, therefore a much larger room, daily cleaning and change of towels. and you accuse us of a terrible service. you are just rude, liars and disrespectful. shame on you.

    Size of room; cleanliness; newer bathroom; rear courtyard

    From the first day, our room smelled like sewer. I sent the owner a message about the smell in the bathroom, but I didn't receive a reply. After 2 days, the owner showed-up around 8 am screaming in the phone. He seemed extremely agitated. Then the attack started. Without any evidence, he accused the occupants of unit 2 (our son/DIL) of throwing paper in the toilet and thus blocking it up. We were "cleared" because the housekeeper said she went through our trash (really?) to find TP in it and baby wipes (which I already know never to throw in the toilet). It seems 5 units were affected, but room 2 took the brunt of his ire (I suspect because they were in the unit and hadn't left for the day). He later showed me unit 5 where the plumber (I assume was a plumber) was working. The shower drain was exposed and looked blocked and filthy. We never did get an answer as to what caused the problem. We certainly know it wasn't our unit or unit 2. No apology or explanation came from the owner. The following day the sewer smell in our unit disappeared but reappeared the rest of our stay. We couldn't wait to check-out of the property on our last day. As an aside, the owner and the housekeeper do not speak English which only added to the nightmare.

    Dear Diana, the property has just been renovated, it's not true, since the first day there was no trace of toilet paper or waste, we carefully checked the bins but we found nothing, you used the toilet as a bin until it clogged, no one warned us about the smell in the bathroom. There is evidence and how the worker found the problem about 10 meters below room 2 which was yours. The night before you didn't even warn us that the bathroom was flooded and in the morning as if nothing had happened you took a shower even though you were told that there was a problem and you shouldn't use water. Your behavior is shameful and disrespectful towards other guests in other houses. What can I say, you used your father who was in the next room to communicate and you didn't let us enter the room to check, what a shame. I simply raised my voice when I had to invite you to leave my property. Booking was also contacted for bad behavior. And I didn't ask you for further damages and deposit. I'm ashamed for you how can you say all this when you spent most of the holiday locked in the room if it smelled. Shame

    The B&B Archimede has 5 guest rooms. In the kitchen there were only 2 soup plates and 2 dinner plates available for all guests.

    Property response:

    excuse us but inside the structure it is not possible to cook. and then you just had to ask and you would have been satisfied. You cannot accuse without anyone having denied you the dishes. and Assudo it is disrespectful to point the finger.
