Everything ok. Not so hard to do the self check-in. It’s cozy, very good location if you plan to visit Alghero and the centre.

It is not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have the opportunity to cook something simple in the kitchen, like porridge or to boil some eggs. In the kitchen area you can only make a tea or coffee (for free). Also the private bathroom was outside the room, but it was not a problem for us, only worried to disturb the neighbors.

Me and my boyfriend enjoyed our stay at Big Fish. The location is very good, in the city center. You have everything around: supermarkets, restaurants, a park not very far. We also would like to mention that everything was very clean, and the owner always helped us when we had questions. Thank you very much for that!

The location was a bit far from the main area of Alghero. Could here the other residents in the corridor. Parking was sparse and took a little while to find a park nearby.

The bed was extremely comfy. Room and bathroom size were spacious.

In the kitchen it said that guests are welcome to grab a coffee, but there were no capsules both days we were there. Not a major problem, but we missed the coffee in the morning. 😅

Easily accessible, parking is free in the street in front of the building. Location was good, the room was fairly quiet for Sardinia and of good size. The bathroom was nice. All in all a good experience and stay.

There’s free parking in the area but it’s a busy street so you have to drive around for a bit before finding a spot. I would recommend the host to specify this when saying there’s free parking in the area.

Not sure what is that about tourist tax in Italy. 4 euros we paid in cash not given receipt Restaurant charged us 5 euros fork and spoon tax Other hotel charged us 16 euros for 4 nites. 25 euros for nothing.

We stayed in a room with a private bathroom. The guesthouse is located just a few minutes from the old town. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful — you can only hear the seagulls flying around. During our stay, we used the local bus service from Via Catalogna, which is about a 12-minute walk away. From there, you can reach many interesting places by direct bus lines. Communication with the host was easy, and he was always available to help with our questions and requests.

Most of all I want to thank the host Elia for his approach. Willing to help with anything, very kind, easy to contact. He is a person you would enjoy having coffee with. 💙 • The room was clean, cleaning was done every two days. Toilet paper, tea and necessary small items are available in the common areas. • The apartment is close to the center, shops, easily accessible. Even when you come to check in at night. • Parking is not provided. Nothing unusual – it’s not a hotel. You can find a place nearby.

The night before checking in, Ylenia had texted us late stating that there was a problem with the room that we had booked, and that the private ensuite bathroom (which we paid extra for) was causing problems. She informed us that we had to change rooms, and she checked whether we were still ok to proceed with the booking, which we agreed to as we were arriving in less than 12 hours the following day. Upon arrival, the room we had been downgraded to was significantly different and worse compared to the room originally booked, in addition to the extra we paid for a room with a private ensuite. Our bathroom was now across the hall, and the new room was significantly smaller and sterile. Although she provided us with some aperitifs (a beer and crackers), we kindly asked if we could at least be provided with a small partial refund to cover the difference in the price of the room we originally paid for, and the price of the downgraded room. Ylenia became very defensive, and since, we have texted her again requesting a partial refund which she is yet to reply to! We would absolutely not recommend this accommodation. It is still a 15/20 min walk into the main town, and for the same price, better accommodation options are available. We understand that the situation was out of her control re broken bathroom, however we were very reasonable and polite in our request, which was met with a strong defence and sass.

The request to send the photos of all guests' IDs before arrival is kind of suspitious, especially knowing GDPR EU law...

The room was very comfortable, equipped with all that we needed. I was extremely happy to see the hairdryer in the bathroom, as I forgot to pack mine :) The flat is located in a quiet residential area, we came with a car and easily found a parking spot on one of the roads nearby.

Never got to meet the host and he kept us waiting for check-in for quite a while. The bathroom was not very clean, room & bathroom smelly. He told us there was free street parking but that was actually only available on few spots and we had to park 5mins walk away from the place.

I chose this for the location but even that wasn’t great.
