Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaParking is a little out of the way (about a 10 minute walk) due to the fact that during certain hours you cannot drive through the historic center but it didn’t really bother us.
If you wish to be in the historical town center of Cagliari, this is the place. Alicia is a wonderful host, breakfast was just perfect. She also referred us to amazing restaurants which exceeded our expectations. This place is a little gem. It is located in an old building but is fully renovated and located right by the Bastione of St. Remy and close by are lots of restaurants for all tastes.

United KingdomWe found the mattress uncomfortable as it was slightly U-shaped and too soft.
The B&B's location is great—very close to the city centre. Most of the tourist attractions, as well as restaurants and bars, are nearby. The B&B is also only a 10-minute walk from the train station. The room was charming, bright, and clean, with a good-sized bathroom. Breakfast was OK, with some savoury and sweet options.

United StatesThe many steps (very steep up) from the main street to get to the B&B, carrying our suitcases was unexpected. Later on, we found another way to get up to the B&B without taking steps.
Walking distance to restaurants, shops, bus & train station. A very quiet location and communication with host Giovanni was excellent! Alicia was superb and gave us wonderful suggestions of where to go, what to do and how to get there. We certainly would stay again.

MaltaUnfortunately, there were no nets on the windows, so we couldn’t open them for fresh air due to mosquitoes.
The place is very charming and centrally located, with comfortable beds and an exceptional breakfast. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

United KingdomWe liked everything really- just a warning that Cagliari is very hilly and the rooms are also on the first floor but not a problem for us . A very small suggestion would be for a waste paper/ rubbish bin in the room itself - there’s just a small pedal bin in the bathroom. However there are designated bins for recycling etc just next door in the dining room which we did use when needed.
Brilliant location, close to all the Castello attractions but also had restaurants and supermarket about 5 mins away. It’s a short walk from the train and bus stations too- albeit uphill! Part of the property is built into the old city walls and view from the balcony was always interesting- a residential area and we felt like locals for the week. The property is full of character, comfy beds and everything needed for a short stay plus breakfasts were tasty and with a wide choice. Deborah who served breakfasts and kept the rooms tidy was lovely to talk with and very helpful as was Giovanni who gave us good tips on where to go and see plus clear directions on how to find the guesthouse.

NorwayA small comment - it would have been nice to vary the breakfast a little, for example 2 different cheeses.
Centrally located in a way that made you feel that you lived in the city. Debora was a very helpful hostess.

United KingdomNot a complaint at all, but the property is on the first floor, so if you have heavy luggage it's something to be aware of!
Excellent location, very close to bus stops, restaurants, bars and areas of interest. Self check in was extremely easy, which was handy as our arrival time changed last minute. The room was simple, clean, and comfortable, with a helpful wash line on the balcony where we could dry our swimwear after a day at the beach. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious. Breakfast was excellent, with a nice selection of bread, cheeses, meats, yoghurt, muesli, and fruits. Would definitely stay again!

RomaniaIt's not a minus because we knew this at the time of the booking but pay attention to the fact that the accommodation is situated in a ZTL zone so between 9pm and 9am you're not allowed to transit the area if you're not a resident. There is a parking lot nearby, max 10 min (Parcheggio REGINA ELENA | APCOA) 10 eur per day.
The breakfast was nice, the con would be that the same items were served every morning but it didn't bother us as we only stayed for 2 nights The room was huge and the bed really comfortable The accommodation is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of Cagliari - Castello - and close to hundreds of restaurants, bars and coffee places

United KingdomThe bathroom was a little on the small side and the water flow of the shower head was quite weak. The coffee machine was not properly working so I could not have a frothy soya latte, but no major issue! The staff were so lovely and friendly.
We loved out two-night stay at Cappuccine Guesthouse. We were attracted by the lovely rustic walls and interiors. It was very authentic and Sardinian which was just what we were looking for. Our room was a nice size with wardrobe storage and hangers - very helpful. The air con system in our room was a big plus. The hairdryer in the bathroom was very handy. The check-in process was made very smooth and easy by Giovanni who was just a joy! The breakfast was very authentically Italian - coffee, croissants, sweet pastries, homemade cake and eggs. The location was perfect - literally a 1-min walk to the main shopping district of Cagliari. Be prepared for some uphill walking with your suitcase to get to the guesthouse though!
