Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandVery nice, cozy and comfortable room. B&B is very close to Parco Archeologico. It took us approx. 15 minutes walk to the beach. Paestum is very quiet and adorable, I wish we stayed for longer.

MauritiusIt was difficult to get a taxi from the train station to the place. Walking distance is about 900 metres. So, keep that in mind if you are arriving by train.
Location was fantastic. Just behind the archaeological park, which was 10 minutes. Simona the host was very kind and helpful

United StatesThe room was quite basic. No frills. A collection of inexpensive furniture in the room. Breakfast is not included, but at a B&B it usually is. Paid €10 for an omelette, salad, and coffee.
An exceptional location minutes from the Paestum archaeological park.

United StatesOnly complaint had nothing to do with the owners or house. All the restaurants seem to close after the day tourists leave and we were starving by the time we found the one that was open.
Wonderful location for visiting Paestum and very close to the excavation site. Very welcoming hosts, right down to gifting my grandson the kumquat that he offered to buy from their plant! Gorgeously decorated premises.

United KingdomIt was a long hike from the train station, especially with a suitcase There were no restuarants nearby other than 1 closed one. But it was February The scavi was a few feet away but the entrance/exit was not. This was not a huge issue Although a B&B there was no breakfast, again, due to the month. This was problematic as there were no shops either
It was just a small room but immaculate and modern. There was, however, a large communal area. But, as we were the only guests, it was quite cold in February The ladies who greeted us could not have been kinder. They even did the ordering for a pizza delivery and gave us 2 numbers for taxis. The visit was too short

AustraliaCasa Franco is the perfect place to stay when visiting the magnificent Paestum temples. It is exceptionally comfortable, clean and beautifully appointed. The hospitality extended to us was far more than could be expected. I am so grateful for everything the hosts did for us particularly with such little notice.

United StatesLocation is a little far from most of the restaurants, but still walkable.
Very helpful staff! The building must have been very recently renovated, it was so immaculate. And Paestum is one for the most beautiful places we've been. Convenient to the entrance to the Archeological Park.

CanadaThe directions could have been more clear. The property lacked signage. Perhaps for zoning reasons? Regardless, I provide clear directions above. Everything else was excellent.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paestum. Host Francesco was a huge part of that, and the Casa Franco facility is excellent. First, how to get there! Several reviewers have had a stab at explaining. This is what you need to know. Once on Via Nettuno, spot the Restaurante Nettuno (easy, since it is the only large building on the north side of the road, and has a huge sign just under the eaves). Turn into the parking lot for the restaurant (there is a road-side sign at the entry). Go to the south-west corner of the parking lot. There you will see a lane leading through a gate, with three signs including a sign for a b&b. The Casa Franco is the first building on the north side of the lane, about 30m past the gate, and you want the first doorway in that building (at the eastern end). Easy. Note, the only sign at the entry to confirm you are at a b&b, at the time of our visit, was a booking.com rating sign saying "9.7". O.K., with that out of the way - everything was excellent. Francesco was very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was outstanding in presentation and choice. The building is to a very high standard in all respects, including the size and comfort of both room and bathroom and the common area. Very well appointed and decorated throughout, which makes it feel special. Francesco has assembled an outstanding selection of pamphlets, maps and guide books for all the things of interest in the area. We borrowed a book. But the 'special' has to be the location literally on the heritage site. You find yourself living amongst the history, and the access is easy. Believe it or not, there is an exit from the ruins about 100m from the b&b. We also walked to the beach, and on another day after taking the train to Agropoli chose to walk back to enjoy the region. Oh, yes, if you arrive by train, walk straight west from the station through the Roman wall arch and through the ancient city to get to Casa Franco.

GermanyThe room was clean and the location is great – just 5 minutes from Paestum, which made visiting the site very easy. However, we stayed during the off-season, and the village felt quite lifeless at night. Most restaurants were closed or completely empty, which made it a bit hard to find a nice place to eat. We have not tried the breakfast. The interaction with the host felt a bit distant and less personal than what we experienced elsewhere in Italy. This might have been due to language barriers, but it did leave us feeling a bit disconnected.
