How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It was a very nice stay and the host made us very welcome, it felt very safe! It’s just 7 min walk to Arena where we attended Opera Festival and everything is very close. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again. Thanks for everything!

Nothing, great stay!
Breakfast was simple and exactly what we may have had at home, coffee (machine that had a selection of options - I prefer the Americano with some milk), and some fruit. Husband loved the breakfast cookies and cake :). Location was excellent for an evening at the Arena for Opera. Short 20 min walk from the train station, and about a 10ish min walk to the Arena and surrounding area. Bed was fantastic, shower was great, A/C was phenomenal (summer is hot!). There was a bit of noise from another couple eating breakfast in the AM that woke us up, but no more than our next door neighbors at home - and we went right back to sleep for a few min. Wish we would have known about this place the first time we came. Would 100% recommend a stay here to a friend.

The room was very cosy, the shared bathroom perfectly clean. We were given detailed instructions for self-check-in because we arrived late in the evening. That worked very well :) The breakfast was delicious and the host very nice, we were also allowed to leave our luggage at the accommodation after check-out to visit Verona!

The walls are very thin, you can hear the busy street quite well, also doors and keys from other rooms are audible quite loudly. But that's just how it is in an old building in a historical city, nothing too bad.
Everything worked very well, Cristiano contacted me beforehand to meet me at the check-in. The room was clean and well equipped (incl. USB adapter for charging). Breakfast was nothing special but had a small buffet in serlf service and covered all essentials.

Nothing that I didn't like.
I had a great time in Verona. Cristiano was a great host, he gave me a map and also information about the city. The room was good, bed was confortable, everything clean, breakfast was also good. Location was perfect, nice and quiet neighborhood, minutes walk from the arena. Highly recommend.

Location is very close to arena and other attractions. It’s easy to get public transport as there are 4 main bus stops nearby. Friendly, professional and accommodating staff. Neat, clean and well maintained

First of all, the host, Cristiano, is amazing—kind, helpful, and provides excellent service! The location is just outside the walls of the old city (a 2-minute walk from Juliet’s Tomb, and 10 minutes from the arena). The breakfast had everything you needed, the place was spotlessly clean, and the little terrace was the perfect spot to relax when it got too hot. I would go there again anytime. Thanks for the hospitality!

The breakfast had multiple choice and its buffet. I had my breakfast at the balcony which is really good and wonderful. The hotel provide one use shampoo and shower gel which is really convenience. Frankly speaking, the hotel is really quiet and safety, I enjoy myself a lot! Highly recommend for the low-budget traveler.
