Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Donna Regina B&B is in a stunning old apartment with lots of orginal art. Our rooms were spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Despite the intense heat in Naples that week, the B&B was pleasantly cool. The location was perfect - near Centro historico and near a metro and with many cafes and restaurants nearbye. The host was very helpful providing us with a map and suggested itinary to make the best use of our time in Naples. He kindly allowed us to use the fridge to store our water and breakfast stuff.

The warm welcome. Comfortable, spacious room with tiny balcony and view. Large and comfortable bed with clean sheets on day 4.Plenty of nice towels.. A/C if needed. Generous breakfast at extra cost.communal kettle and fridge available . Easy access with small lift. Quiet location but only yards from busy streets and restaurants. WiFi worked well. The apartment is beautifully and artistically decorated. Despite my lack of Italian I was made to feel at home.

JapanTo get from the room to the private bathroom you have to climb a small spiral staircase. It was a little squeamish and scary, so it was difficult to go to the washroom or toilet every time. You can't expect a view from the balcony. Look down the ordinary road. The area with a nice view is the area of the owner and his wife. Rather than looking outside, we recommend looking at the paintings and decorations inside the inn.
A quaint inn that feels like an art gallery or museum. When you enter the entrance, the space feels like a scene from a movie! Lots of paintings, vintage furniture, and decorations by owners Elio and Gabriella! Conveniently located near subway stations, shops and supermarkets. Gabriella is kind-hearted and elegant. Although we didn't eat, her breakfast table she made was lovely. Unforgettable accommodation in Naples.

The gracious hospitality and warm welcome. We loved the interior with all the paintings, books and antiques, a beautiful haven from the city chaos. Extremely helpful hosts. We felt honoured to be staying in their lovely home.

United KingdomThe stairs to the bathroom are a little tricky, but it wasnt a deal breaker for us.
Overall, the B&B was lovely. Our room was well kept and welcoming. We needed the AirCon unit in the day and overnight for the heat. We very were thankful for a working lift! The street below was busy, but you are removed from some of the noise being quite high up. The owner was friendly and helpful. We had the breakfast on one day and it was very good.

Donna Regina is an original and slightly out of the ordinary B&B. So long as you’re not expecting a 4* Hotel experience then Donna Regina is well worth a visit. Being on the 4th floor of the building does help with the typical city centre street noise so we weren’t too disturbed. We took the breakfast which was fresh and plentiful. Nice location for visiting the old city and less than 5 minutes away from the Metro station and approximately 15 min walk to the main train station.

United KingdomVery minor point but we would have appreciated some basic instructions on how to access the B&B. There is no obvious signage outside on the street, just a very small sticker next to the 4th floor buzzer for the building. When you get to the 4th floor, where the B&B is located, the sign on that door is differently worded to the sticker downstairs (it didn't say 'Donna Regina') so we weren't totally sure we were in the right place. As soon as we were let inside and warmly greeted however, we knew!
We loved staying here for our trip to Napoli. The B&B is really charming with art and books everywhere, and the room itself was cosy, stylish, clean and spacious, with a balcony overlooking the busy street below. Ram was helpful and friendly, providing us with a map highlighting local sights and restaurants. The B&B is right in the centro storico area of Naples, a perfect base for exploring the city. We had a wonderful breakfast prepared for us in a beautiful homely kitchen (EU10 per person) and enjoyed eating with our fellow travellers around a big communal table. Wouldn't hesitate to come stay again!

United KingdomThe lift might not be great if you get claustrophobic. But other than that, nothing to improve!
One of the most atmospheric and gorgeous places we've ever stayed. The apartment is huge and high ceilinged and takes up what feels like the whole floor of the old convent building. The owner has restored it lovingly with antiques and a combination of modern and classical art. Our room was huge and beautifully decorated with antique furniture and a blissfully comfortable bed. There was a kettle and a fridge just outside the room. The owner gave us a map and some really helpful suggestions and recommendations for restaurants. His recommendations were spot on (definitely Lombardi's for pizza!). The apartment is on the fourth floor but there's a small lift which made it much easier to get the bags up. The position is good - 5 minutes' walk from the centre of the Centro Storico and 5 minutes in the other direction to the metro. It's tucked down a quiet sidestreet so was much quieter than the other places that we have stayed in Naples.

IrelandNo breakfast; this is not a B & B. I booked a B&B. No breakfast was provided because the owner’s mother was on holidays. The guests fridge was broken, so too the kettle on arrival. Toiletries were at a minimum. The main double bed had a metal ‘headboard’ which was particularly uncomfortable. Only two pillows were provided and while there were many cushions, some had an unpleasant smell. We placed some chilled items in the main fridge which was filthy. It needed a deep clean and had spillages on the shelves. Accidents happen but there no excuse for not cleaning during our 3 night stay. Access to the second bed on the mezzanine level was by means of a ladder. This was not clear at the time of booking and the banisters felt insecure. We booked here because of the Rough Guide recommendation which was very misleading in our view. The B&B is located on the 4th floor of what is a 6 storey apartment block. Finally, on checkout the owner insisted on entering the bedroom twice before we had vacated it even though he was assured we would leave in 5 minutes. He remarked on entry in English ’No Damage’. This was an unacceptable and offensive comment to make. It was inexcusable. It seems to us that the owner values the ‘artwork’ more than the comfort of his guests. This was the only booking.com reservation made on this 6 city stay in Italy and will be our last. Booking.com should consider this a formal complaint.
The owner local knowledge was very helpful. Apart from that it was a big disappointment and one to avoid.
