How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Double bed was two single mattresses pushed together.
Good location, within walking distance to everything. Basic accommodation, but had just what we needed! Clean and the staff were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early!

Very good location in the city center, close to main sights, and you can even walk to the airport or railway station. The place was oldish but in a charming way, and air conditioning, shower etc. amenities worked well. Easy check-in an check-out in person.

Shower was a bit mouldy in the corners and very small. Lots of stairs to get up with a big bag so not good for older people

The water pressure was very weak but it's a very minor problem. perfect for solo or traveling with 2 people but it's definitely a tight space.
Beautiful alley, great location, and gorgeous, gorgeous atmospherical apartment. I loved the wooden, old furniture.

The air conditioner switched from air into fan mode in the middle of the night making a loud rattling noise. I hardly got any sleep. I think it’s programmed that way. Plus, no elevator and many flights of stairs. Make sure you don’t mind carrying your own luggage up. No breakfast even though that didn’t bother me since there is a great cafe next door that makes great cappuccino and a Carrefour supermarket 50 meters away.

Bed was not very comfy.
The owner was very accommodating with my arrival time which was after 10pm and then later due to a delayed flight. The room was neat and tidy but a bit over priced for what it was. But I needed a room for overnight stay, close to airport. If staying in Pisa then a good location to explore the city.

We sadly didn't kettle in the room which would ha e been useful.

Wifi was not the best. Old furniture.

A very authentic building in an alley of one of the cosiest street or Pisa: very much in the middle of everything. The Pisa Tower, the trainstation, the riverside etc. Also, the staff was kind enough to let me check in at 10:00 instead of 13:00, which I really appreciated.

That I booked a bed and breakfast but there was no breakfast facility so my friend collected me and took me for brekkie before I went to airport after check out. I've taverns alot round italy and usually they give you a voucher for a local patisserie which is nice as you are eating local but get to go out for brekkie. Forsuch a little cost I'm not sure why they don't do that. Makes more sense.
Loved the original features. The locality to everything. The quirkiness of the place. Bed was super comfortable.

It was a bit hard to find it and a bit far to the railway station. Also the mobile phone reception was imperfect, so that one had to go out into the street to make phone calls...

Furniture and design items often do not match, although most of them tend to be antique. Some things, like paper flower decorations attached to wardrobe were odd.
Enough comfort for decent price in the old town of Pisa. We spent there one night and had all its highlights in close walking distance. Besides, there is a nice restaurant right across the street and one may feel tired after plentiful dinner and tempted to go to bed as soon as possible. B&B is located in old building and rooms can be reached only by steep stairs.

The following day they couldn’t accommodate us leaving our luggage past 2pm which was a little limiting.
Location was perfect! Ideal for one night in Pisa. Very close to tower and train station.

Very comfortable room with good AC and clean bathroom. Host was accommodating and waited for me despite a 2-hour flight delay. Accommodation was in the heart of Pisa but on a quiet street. Will stay again!

Wifi ain't the best.
Perfect location, short walk to train station and all attractions. Selection of shops, bars and restaurants all near by. My room was comfortable, clean and full of character.
