Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandIt's not allowed to eat in the house or leave something in the fridge. There's no amenities in the bedroom, like a kettle, frigobar or coffee and tea. I think the host could think better about that. It says 'bed and breakfast' but it's not.
The location is great, very close to Colosseum, but in a quiet area. It's the host's house, nice lady. Bedroom and bathroom with a good size. Restaurants, shops, bus stop and metro nearby. As a solo traveler I felt safe walking around.

PortugalNothing
Everything! As a solo traveler I felt the most welcome and taken care of by Stefania. I felt at a family home. It was central but not too much inside the chaotic streets of Rome. I walked everyday back and forth and the area has loads of services!

United KingdomThe walls aren’t thick though so you can hear everything going on around you. Unfortunately on our first night there was some nearby social event with a microphone but the rest of the nights were fine, especially after long days seeing what Rome has to offer! Also whilst perfectly located for the colosseum and not too far from a couple of metro stations, we did find we were about a 30-35 minute walk away at least from the other attractions in the city and taxis are not always the easiest to find!
The host was great. She was very welcoming and very helpful with suggestions and information prior to arrival and once we were there. She was also very responsive whenever we messaged with any questions. The room was clean and was good for what we needed when visiting Rome

HungaryThe apartment was very nice and Stefania was an exceptional host. She was very helpful with information about public transport and she even recommended some nice restaurants to try in the area. The room itself was spacious with a comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom. Everything was very clean, as well. Stefania also gave me vouchers for free coffee and croissants in a nearby café that I could visit in the mornings which was a very nice surprise. I will certainly book here again if I visit Rome in the future.

United KingdomJust a stone's throw away from the Colleseum, this bnb is close enough for all the sightseeing, but also residential enough that you can come back to your room and be away from all the hustle and bustle. It's a very residential area and i felt like I was getting an authentic experience. I had my own bathroom, the bed was large and comfortable. Although Stefania does not provide breakfast in house anymore post covid, she has made arrangements at a nearby local cafe for her guests to get coffee and croissants for breakfast daily. I had a packed itinerary and therefore didn't use this, but I found that all her food recommendations were great and therefore assume that this cafe would be the same. Stefania was full of tips and had lots of information to hand. She loves a chat and I had a wonderful time staying with her in Rome. For any first timers to Rome, this location is brilliant
