We were welcomed by a very friendly hostess in a fantastic location. The B&B itself is a beautiful, authentic building, a former castle. Breakfast was lovingly prepared by the hosts! Delicious rolls, tasty cakes, fresh fruit, etc.

Everything, The house was beautiful and tastefully decorated. A great view over the Italian countryside. Our host Christina was so welcoming and was a brilliant host 👏 Great secure parking for motorbikes 🏍 After a long day on the road we were able to order from a local restaurant and enjoyed eating and drinking on the terrace until the sun went down. Highly recommended 👌

Everything was wonderful.

This is a most heavenly place to stay! It is in a beautiful setting high above a wooded dell, but easily accessible by road. The view is fantastic. We had a sumptuous breakfast, sitting out on the terrace amongst flowers and potted lemon and orange trees. Claudio and Cristina are exceptional hosts, attentive and caring, and extremely helpful on visiting places in the locality. We’re just trying to find a way to return as soon as possible!

Absolutely wonderful stay at B\&B Il Castellaccio in Albavilla! The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, the room and the property are spotless and beautifully decorated, and the view from the terrace was great. Breakfast was homemade and delicious, with attention to every detail. A peaceful, charming retreat—would give it more than 10/10 if I could!

This was the best stay of our traveling experience so far. Cristina and Claudio live in the house and are fantastic hosts with great sense of humour. Their 14th century home is amazingly preserved and brought up to contemporary standards. It's quiet, extremely comfortable, tucked in the hill forest away from the crowds.

I booked this B&B for my parents and my sister; they loved this place. The owners are amazing; they go above and beyond their duty as hosts. The location and the building are beautiful. The rooms are big and clean. The most amazing thing is the breakfast—probably comparable to one from a 5-star hotel with homemade cakes. It is definitely recommended if you are in the Como area.

Beautiful apartment in the house surrounded by forest not so far from Como. Very clean and spacious room and excellent breakfast. Owners are very nice and helpful with any kind of information you need. Pleasant experience on lake Como.

Unfortunately, we only stayed one night. The B&B is located on the top of a hill in a small village, so it's more suitable for those traveling by car.

Everything was perfect. We enjoyed every minute there. We arrived at night under the rain, and the host was there with an umbrella waiting for us. She speaks many languages fluently, and her B&B is one of the coziest and cleanest we have ever seen. The property has a great view and has a beautiful garden. The room was huge and super equipped with ammenities, coffee, tea, and infusions. Breakfast was amazing. You can see that they use good ingredients and prepare everything carefully. I really want to come back with more time.

Welcoming heart warm owners. Beautiful villa with top class hotel readiness but yet with warm and homely interior. Classy home made breakfast. Went to Albavilla from Como with bus and to get to hotel we had a lovely walk trough small roads up the hill - Perfect location to rest and walk around small village besides mountainy forest area.

Loved the B&B facility and the owners. Great history associated with the building and wonderful renovation. Cristina and her husband were wonderful hosts and provided a delicious breakfast each morning and made great recommendations for places to go and see. Highly recommended

Just an amazing sweet couple, with a lovely house and hospitality. The owner is a sweet lady, she helped us a lot with our plans and questions. Breakfast was above and beyond and was one of the best I have had in the trip. Rooms are super clean with really high standards. The only thing is the location requires a car (parking available in their property).

There was a heat wave when we were there, with temperatures much higher than normal for the region, so without air conditioning, it was a little warm at night. Our host did provide us with several fans, though!

The room was fantastic. It was beautiful and large and divided into two different areas, with two twin beds in each. The lovely bathroom had a separate area with a second toilet and sink, which was great for the four of us sharing. The breakfast was amazing and one of the highlights of our trip. :)
