How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewYou cannot put a price on staying in the country side, it’s beautiful you have an incredible garden where you can enjoy having your morning coffee or afternoon tea next to the chickens 🐓 You make your own breakfast but you have a great selection of everything needed for a proper breakfast at any time of the day The ac worked super fine on the hot days Mirco was nice enough to drop us to the pharmacy when i fell sick Frederika was great she welcomed us when Mirco wasnt there and went above and beyond to explain to us things around even though she speaks no English The rooms and the bathroom are very spacious It’s a very safe place
The shutter didnt fully open in the room so we couldnt enjoy the sun fully in the room There where no tissues (kleenex) The shower cabin inside the bathroom is extremely small and would hardly fit in a grown man As mentioned that they’re offering many products for. Proper breakfast however, when both salt and oil where finished they werent replaced and sometimes there was no one around to ask. It is also mentioned that this is a shared area and to be mindful of not finishing everything and leave the place clean but not all the guests were that mindful. It’s really a guest house, you can hear pretty much everything around, the other guests, the coffee machine etc. Mirco would knock on your door if he wants to tell you something.. Make sure to get a mosquito repellent spray as mosquitoes 🦟 in summer can be very annoying

Verified reviewThank you Mirko for your help during my trip!😊 This place is great that I want to stay in my room whole day. 😊 If you want a place that is silent after a busy city then this is your place. I recommended this place to my friends but they said it's fully booked and for sure I will book again when I come back!😊

Verified reviewVery quiet neighborhood. Very nice host, helpsome with detailed instructions on check-in. Mirco gave us good tips for the city visit. Nice room with everything necessary. Good breakfast, good kitchen facilities - all what you need. Every day cleaning.
The sound isolation between rooms and kitchen is poor. If someone decides to make coffee at early morning/night all other on the floor would wake up. The bus to the metro station is very often delayed - this should be taken into account by the visitors.

Verified reviewThe location of B&B Il Giardino di Gabri is perfect. The accommodation is 15 minutes by taxi from Fiumicino airport, or direct train via Villa Bonelli and a short 711 bus ride. It's a calm rural environment surrounded by lemon trees, which is just what's needed after a busy day exploring the history and culture of Rome. Our host gave us a friendly welcome and explained everything we needed to know. The accommodation is perfect for a good night's sleep, with modern, clean facilities, and good variety provided for breakfast. It's only 10 minutes walk to an excellent restaurant, Bistrot 139, or if you prefer, you can buy take-away pizza or kebabs opposite the Bistrot. We thoroughly recommend B&B Il Giardino di Gabri, and look forward to a return visit.

The rooms were spotless, and the beautiful garden added to the charm. We stayed with our dog and felt completely at home the entire time. Highly recommended - would absolutely stay here again!

Verified reviewI stayed at Il Giardino di Gabri while travelling for work and was so pleased that I chose them. Mirco was so welcoming when I was arriving and collected me from the train station, then showed me the local shops and bus stops so I would be able to easily go back and forth from work. The property is very well located and has easy lines both to the commercial areas and to the main tourist attractions of Rome. It is very close to the metro, B/B1, lido, and bus lines, so it's very simple to get anywhere you need to go. The property itself is lovely as well. There is seating in the garden under the trees and a small veranda in the breakfast area to enjoy the scenery while eating. I was particularly fond of the local cats as well.

Verified reviewB&B Il Giardino di Gabri is a lovely, comfortable, and clean apartment located in the middle of a lush, green garden. The room was spacious and filled with natural light. It had a beautiful balcony overlooking the garden, where we fell asleep to the sound of birds every night. There was a mosquito net on the balcony door, which allowed us to sleep comfortably. The bathroom was also very clean and spacious—almost as big as the room itself. The provided amenities were sufficient, and the towels were clean. Our sheets were neat and clean, and the cleaning lady, who came every day to tidy our room, even folded our pajamas (many thanks and greetings to the lady whose name I don't know!). The kitchen area was clean, and there were delicious food options available. They even added produce harvested from the garden. Mirco is a fantastic host, both very friendly and pleasant to chat with. On the day we were leaving, he also offered to drive us to the airport for a small fee.
The location is actually nice if you have a car. However, if you plan to use public transportation, there's a bus stop down the road. It's important to check the schedule because the buses don't run very frequently. The bus from this stop takes you to a metro station in about 10 minutes. To reach the places you want to visit in the city center, you will need at least two transfers. While the area doesn’t feel unsafe, the bus stop where you get off at night is unfortunately a bit dark, and you'll need to walk about 5 minutes on a dimly lit road to reach the house.

Verified reviewFriendly vibe. Surrounding scenery was fabulous, and it was peaceful. Nice continental breakfast, which we were able to access as we needed. Mirco explained everything we needed to know about our stay, where to go for local restaurants, transport system, and provided WhatsApp contact if we had any queries.
It was very hot and air conditioning wasn't always effective but this didn't spoil our stay.

Verified reviewEverything at here met our expectations and Mirko was a wonderful host. A very kind person. I would return in the very near future and each time I visit Rome I will love to stay at this property.
Only, the tv programs, buts it's understandable that all is in Italian and no cnn, aljazeera or eurosport.

Genuinely cannot think of anything. Perhaps that my private bathroom was across the hallway from my room, but that was not really an issue tbh.
