Situated right next to the port and was quite difficult to sleep

Lots of traffic from nearby road, but with the very well insulating windows closed, the noise was almost eliminated.

The property was full of great homemade African style artwork, and that was very enjoyable. The room was bright with large windows and views of the busy waterway that separates Sicily from mainland Italy, and the many ferries that binds them together. The host was very kind and helpful , and even volunteered to drive me to the train station when it was time to leave.

Just the street noise and single glazing, being close to tram has a downside.

Location was good for tram and the No1 bus to a brilliant beach (last stop). Decor very artistic and colourful, lots of space in main bedroom - though was noisy from street traffic. Owner was very nice and helpful and came to the apartment each morning. It is opposite one of main ferry berths, nice little beach 100 metres away for a morning swim! Lovely city.

Absolutely loved this BnB! So much love care & attention given to offer guests a warm welcome & a comfortable place to stay. Loved the fabulous, creative quirky interior decor which made me smile every time I came in or moved through different rooms. Apparently Manuela & her father created most if not all of these pieces. Each room has a different theme & is named accordingly mine being Geografica. Lovely airy room with access to balcony where you can view all the action at the busy ferry port across the road. Liked access to a kitchen which was well equipped for tea & coffee making with a good size fridge & inclusion of a wonderfully decorated dining area. Simple breakfast provided as a basket of "goodies" in your room. Easy access from train & bus stations by way of tramway which travels up the coast. The stop you will need is "Brasile". It is seven stops from train station (Republika). It only takes about 15mins. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

Was a little noisy early as close to the wharf.

Such a quaint apartment building, exceptionally clean and well equipped, our host was very accommodating.

Had a nice stay there, the hostess was very nice and accommodating. Let me wait there for my train even though I had already checked out.

The breakfast was literally one croissant and a coffee per person. No self check-in option. The location is a bit far from the city center.

Spacious apartment with all needed amenities. Clean. Good contact with the very friendly proprietor. Great view of the sea from the balcony. Funky decor.

The external area of the property was terrible. So untidy with litter & vermin on the streets in the daytime which I witnessed with a local. The rat was the size of a cat. I know that this is not down to the host who was very helpful & as I stated the facilities were clean & tidy.

The room was okay& clean but tired in decor

Location was convenient for the ferry. The building was poorly signed - luck we had a good taxi driver.

No euro plugs. And mosquitoes were in the room all night. Also hard to find.

Owner was super lovely. And it had a balcony.
