We felt like a bit of a burden on the host and her family without a car to get around. They were super accommodating though and we'll definitely return to visit these super hosts!

The view from the room was amazing and the little terrace we had was exquisite. Make sure you book a car in advance when travelling to this area! We tried to book a car last minute through the host (who was super responsive) when we realised there's limited public transport and unfortunately it failed (and would have been super expensive). We were lucky and grateful that the host and her family picked us up from the rental company in Monopoli and drove us around for most of the trip! The location of the place is perfect as its mid way between popular places such as Alberobello (inland) and Monopoli (the sea). Also perfect that it's on the route of the bus which travels between these popular stops. But the bus never came! The poor hostess ended up driving us around most of the time when the bus wouldn't show up. We were super lucky and grateful that on the last day, when we had to travel back to the airport, the host made sure to call the bus agency the night before and ask them to pass the next morning. And it passed! So technically you're a bus and a train away from Bari airport. The place is very good value for money compared to the prices in the area in August. The Junior room is right on top of the host's house and she was lovely enough to cook lunch for us one afternoon. Although the host is there, you don't her anything from the house and can walk in and out of the premises without disturbing. Also, A-mazing coffee! Breakfast was great and she would ask us what time we'd like to have breakfast served each morning on the private terrace. In the room, there were another three extra beds besides ours but watch out for the slanting roof. Both of us bumped our heads a couple of times in the bathroom. I found this aspect of the room charming. The host and her family were also super charming and patient with us but heads up you need to know how to speak and understand Italian!
