Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNo complaints at all. It’s truly perfect
I truly loved everything about this place!!! The room was comfortable with a small balcony overlooking one of the beautiful streets of Napoli. Valentina, the host, is such a sweet and kind person and she made me feel right at home from the very first moment. The place felt quiet and intimate. I especially loved getting breakfast with the view on the ancient church. The breakfast itself was fantastic too! Oh and of course the location couldn’t be better - Spaccanapoli is just around the corner. I hope I get to come back one day!

United KingdomRather than hire a car, try excursions instead, the roads are super busy.
The host Valentina was exceptional, she was super helpful & her English was very good. A big positive when you want to do so much in a short space of time. The breakfast was amazing & plentiful, nothing was too much trouble. There was a small fridge in our room and it was filled with chilled drinks every day for which the prices were very reasonable, just perfect to relax with an the end of the day . The accomodation was a lovely old building, beautiful patio overlooked by a very old church & bell tower (silent). Very peaceful & just perfect for our stay. It was close to some very nice restaurants including one recommended to us called Antica Pizzeria Del Borgo. It was amazing ! Arrivederci for now

This was my first time travelling solo and the B&B La Terrazza Napoli was the perfect accommodation for me. The accommodation was secure so I felt very safe. Both Valentina & Dario were extremely kind and welcoming. Valentina took time on the first day to go through with me places to visit and gave me a map. The breakfast each morning was wonderful and it was nice to chat with other guests on the terrace. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

United KingdomI have no recommendations for improvement.
La Terrazza Napoli was a perfect stop while travelling around Italy. Our hosts were very kind and welcoming. They provided us with local knowledge of the area, nice places to eat, and information on how to plan excursions we wanted to try. It felt like a home from home. The building itself is beautiful with an old elevator reaching the apartment, big open bedrooms with long windows, and the terrace was a little haven in the city. It was exceptionally good in the heat - the rooms are air conditioned, there is cold water waiting in the fridge, and the terrace can have a welcome breeze. I would love to return to Napoli as there is so much to see and do and if I do return I would stay here every time.

Fabulous place with wonderful hosts. Our room was very comfortable and we loved the terrace which is an oasis of calm in the centre of the city. The hosts want you to enjoy your stay and serve a fantastic breakfast to set you up for the day. There is a fridge filled with cold drinks, wine & beer that you can enjoy for reasonable prices. The hosts also offer airport transfers which is great! We would definitely stay here again!

IrelandNothing - we had no issues at all
Fabulous location - right in the heart of the city, but very tranquil on the terrace. Beautiful, spacious room, very clean and bright. Breakfasts were amazing, fresh omelettes, tomatoes, cheeses, meats prepared for us every day along with the “beautiful” cappuccino. Such a fabulous start to our busy days in and around Naples. All the above were great, but what really makes the place special is the friendliness and hospitality from the hosts Valentina and Dario. They went above and beyond to ensure we knew where to get trains, tickets etc and even made us a booking for a really popular restaurant for our anniversary. Dario transferred us from/to the airport for a very reasonable price, ensuring we didn’t have the stresses of catching the bus or a taxi. All in all, a very memorable visit, and we would love to return.

United KingdomOverall everything was really good, but a small improvement would be to have some drawers as in the bedroom we stayed in there was nowhere to put small items of clothing and underwear.
We stayed for a week and saw so many amazing things during our stay. We found Naples pretty overwhelming to start with and the help of Valentina and Dario was absolutely invaluable in helping us find our way around in terms of transport systems, museum passes etc. without them I really don’t think we would have got as much out our stay as we did. The terrace was a bonus; a peaceful haven in the heart of manic Naples. Finally, the delicious breakfasts and excellent coffee!

B&B La Terrazza is just a short walk from the train station and close to the lively Centro Antico. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The owners, Valentina and her husband, were so kind and full of old-school hospitality. The terrace was gorgeous and we loved the fresh and varied breakfast they offered. United KingdomThe Breakfast was fantastic .I particularly loved the couple who ran the B&B .They were so helpful and lovely ! And the location was very handy from the Central Napoli statio. B&B had a lovely terrace where we ate breakfast evey morning. The Terrace was on one side located next to the 15th century dilapidated church which had a wonderful and beautiful effect on the atmosphere on the terrace. United KingdomNothing really. It is a historic city centre building with the quirks you would expect.
Great location just on the edge of the mad side of Naples! Only a 5 mins walk away let us sleep in relative calm. Also realy close to the Porta Nolana railway terminus which allows you to board a near empty train for Pompeii and Herculaneum one stop before the hoards board at Garibaldi. Large room with internal shutters that kept out road noise at night. Had sole use of shower and toilet across the corridor with our room which was no issue. Others I think are en suite but our room bigger. Fantastic hostess in Valentina. Great English and tips about Naples. Superb breakfast on a really quaint and secluded 5th floor sun soaked terrace overlooked by historic church. Don't worry there is a lift up to flat. Top tip, use their airport pickup option. Great communication beforehand with Valentina but you will struggle to find flat entrance on first trip.

BelgiumIf you’re looking to stay in a ‘home away from home’ with locals from Napoli, look no further! Valentina and her husband Dario made us feel very welcome in Napoli, gave us great tips on what to do and eat in the city and answered all my wife’s questions about the city and Neapolitan culture. The breakfast was impressive with fresh meats and cheeses, a really good omelette and lots of freshly baked bread and pastries (and more!). The room was quiet, clean and comfortable and the bed was perfect. We were on the lookout for a souvenir and discovered thanks to Valentina the real Italian Bialetti Moka Express. She showed us how to use it with Italian coffee (Passalacqua) and now we use it at home :-) We cannot recommend this B&B enough!
