For me, the bed was very soft and the air conditioning was loud.

If you're in Taormina, Charles' appartman is worth a visit. An authentic place that pampers its guests with an excellent terrace, cosy rooms and exceptional hospitality. And the breakfast, unique and tailor-made! A few minutes walk to the city center, which is also an important aspect.

The property had a large shared balcony with outstanding views, both day and night, of the sea. It’s also where we enjoyed amazing breakfasts prepared by our host Charles and staff who were simply exceptional. If I could rate them an 11, I would. They were friendly, funny, attentive to our every need and great communicators. They were very passionate about ensuring we had a wonderful experience. If you’re coming by a car, be prepared for advanced driving in the narrow, crowded streets of Taormina. The property is in a ZTL but apparently it is not enforced right now but may be in the future.

The views from the balcony are amazing and worth the struggle to get up the hill. Charles has been an exceptional host and were appreciated his open mindedness, creativity, and willingness to help with instructions. We felt truly at home.

Even before we arrived, Charles Rigano was incredibly helpful. He shared the exact location of the property to make it easy for us to find, and even assisted with private on-site parking — a huge relief in a town where street parking can be challenging and stressful. Driving into Taormina is an adventure in itself, with narrow roads and sharp, uphill turns, so his support upon our arrival was greatly appreciated. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by how lovely the place is. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortably fit the three of us. The 3-D wall art was beautifully done, and the entire space was full of character. There’s a large, welcoming common area with a well-equipped kitchen, dining space, and an outdoor terrace that overlooks absolutely breathtaking views of the coastline, the Ionian Sea, and even the Strait of Messina. All the staff we met was kind and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious — beautifully presented and made with care. You can really feel that this B&B was designed and run with passion, art, and love. It’s a place with soul, and we’re so glad we stayed here. Highly recommended. One thing to keep in mind: the whole city is on a hill, so be ready for some uphill and downhill walking — but the views and charm make it all worthwhile.
