Room and hall smelled very much like house perfume. It was big discomfort and I had hardships to breathe and sleep because of it. For someone who has severe allergy it might be even bigger issue. We were trying to air the room for 2 days but it didn't help at all. Also shower cabinet was too small but it was still okay.

Well, the room is kind of dated. I wouldn't mind that, one can tell during booking process, but... the main turnoff was the blocked shower. And also dirty... so, I did not even use it, fortunatelly the sink was close enough, so I did improvise :) The toothbrush pot was dirty as well. Towels were questionable, some had a curious smell. The balcony was not cleaned at all, there were dead plants in broken flower beds and even a gresat amount of cigarette buds left in them. If everything else beformentioned one coukd overlook, this could not. The fridge in the shared space at entry also was not cleaned for some time, the freezer was clogged with iced old items left behind. These are all small deficiencies though, so it is really unfortunate to expose them, but otherwise this review would be misleading for future visitors. I would stilll recomend the place though, except for picky guests.

Thing I liked the most was smooth and thoughtfull ommunication with owner, before and especially on the day of check in. Everything enabled online. Location is also excuisite, a short walk through a very picturesque park to old historic centre, also train station reachable by foot through old town, so one experience quite a spectacular sightseing during arrival already. Biggest room I've ever been to, with also biggest balcony, although not quite private, since fence to neighbours is broken. The best thing for me was also a small grocery store right beside the entrance, which offers every essential one could need upon arrivaal even late at night, like cold beer for example ;) Also the lift is a great benefit of this accomodation which makes it really easy reachable and very kind gesture of coffee and wine opener as a wellcome surprise.

Paper thin walls. Bed wasn't too comfortable & there was a leak in the shower so they had just put a towel on the floor next to it, looked a bit messy and sloppy. In general it felt a bit old and rusty, but in the end it was clean enough and cheap and of course you get what you pay for!

Unfortunately, the room and the bathroom had very old vibes - they weren't renovated in at least ten years. The bathroom needs an upgrade (to help with the smell, new towels, etc). Some new sheets and pillows would help... even if they were clean; they didn't look or feel clean.

Sadly there seem to be some issues with maintenance and/or hygiene. The room and bathroom were overall very clean and also the common space was very tidy. Sadly though, the room and bathroom had mold on the ceiling/corners. In the bathroom there seems to be a problem with humidity and piping. Whenever you would use the shower or the toilet flush there would be water leaking onto the floor. It is true that the climate in Lecce is very humid and probably that is not helping either with the issue. We also had a dead insect in one of our towels but got fresh ones on request.

The owner was very nice and available whenever there was anything we needed. The location is amazing and could not be better! It is very nice to have a balcony overlooking the park.
