How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewIt is very quiet and comfortable place. Amazing to relax and enjoy a beautiful view. It is a must to have a car during your stay to visit nearby cities and also to go for a dinner. Veronica was super kind and ready to help with everything we needed. The breakfast is amazing! Would definitely stay here again.

Verified reviewAmazing view,, the pool is fantastic! Swimming with this view is so so relaxing. Very warm welcome by the owners, the breakfast was really good. It would have been fantastic to have also lunch or dinner or snacks in this lovely setting as you don’t want to leave once installed. We had a relaxing stay
The room was not soundproof at all, the common hall is accoustic very bad. The beds were not so comfortable, bathroom is outdated

Verified reviewAmazing location for seeing all that Puglia has to offer. Super close to loads of gorgeous beaches and beach clubs, as well as the bigger coastal towns and sightseeing spots. The breakfast was AMAZING! So fresh and delicious. Veronica and her family are so welcoming and lovely. The pool is gorgeous with stunning views and the bedroom was big and super comfy. I can’t wait to come back. We came on a babymoon trip to see Puglia and it was a perfect base to drive around.

Verified reviewThe Guest House is conveniently located for exploring the area. It's easy to find with ample parking behind security gates. The hosts are extremely welcoming and the views spectacular from the pool area. There's ample seating around the pool so you can always get sun or shade as required, everywhere is spotlessly clean and the breakfast is local and or homemade. Our room was a good size as was the ensuite.
We paid extra for a deluxe room hoping for a nice patio but it was only 1metre in depth, just enough room for a small bistro table & 2 chairs - in effect we only used it as a clothes drying area. The pool is a lovely spot but as previous guests have commented, whilst we were not expecting hotel pool service, it was the only place we stayed in over 2 weeks that had no guest kettle or even light snacks available (e.g. crisps for sale, cake made at breakfast left out for guests during the day) so we were in the car more than we'd hoped to get refreshments. If you're planning to be out all day & not use the property as a relaxing stop this of course isn't an issue.
Ciao Sara, thanks for your review. Our house has kettles and snacks, you just had to ask us since we are always present at home and you were our guest for 5 nights. We met several times, I asked you if everything was okay and you were always very satisfied, you never made any requests to me. You could have told me in person instead of complaining later via review.

Verified reviewThe hosts leo and veronica where extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. On the first night we arrived in late as our flight was delayed and leo drove us down to an amazing authentic Italian restaurant- free of charge!!. The views are stunning and the pool area is gorgeous. The breakfast food is delicious. Everything is maintained to a very high standard and cleaning is very efficient. We will be back!!
Not that it's any fault of the hosts but the location is remote so just be aware that you will need a rental car. The local taxis are expensive.
