Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe building itself is quite run down with a dirty courtyard and steps, non-functional lift, and worst of all, the codes for the main door of the accommodation kept changing without prior notice and necessitating phone calls to Enzo, the manager. Fortunately, Enzo was relatively responsive on WhatsApp and provided the codes but it was still not a pleasant experience to call him at 10 PM hoping to receive new codes. The so called “breakfast“ consisted of old croissants and pieces of pound cake which were put out the evening before and were already old even then! We preferred to eat at the cafes outside.
It was a typical old town building with a courtyard and broad stairs going uptown individual apartments. Inside the apartment itself was well renovated and clean, although very small. AC was provided. The location on the main walking thoroughfare for tourists with lots of restaurants was quite convenient.

PolandI was looking specifically for something with ‚breakfast included’ option was disappointing, it was just dry pastries and the next day there was what’s left so actually I didn’t eat there, at least there was an espresso machine and cold and hot water.
The place was new, super fresh and clean!

SwitzerlandUnfortunately the lift wasn’t functioning and we had to climb three flights of stairs to access our rooms. Not good when You are carrying up resp down your 20 kg suitcase of clothes etc. Also not good at the end of a full day sightseeing and walking 20,000 steps. Also, and this applies to many places in the historic centre, .there is no public transport available. It was a 15 min walk to the nearest metro. In necessity one could always take a taxi.
The location was right in the middle of the historic centre. One left the B & B and immediately felt the buzz of Naples. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well as souvenir shops. Also near interesting buildings and archaeological sites The B&B was clean and well furnished. There was also a good self service breakfast buffet - restocked every day,

UkraineAs everybody mentioned in their reviews elevator is not available for guests (only for those who live in the building), so it was a bit of a challenge to get luggage up to the 3d floor and down.
Perfectly located in the historical center, short walk to major sights. Neighbourhood felt safe even at night as it is quite a busy street full of people (at least way safer than around railway station, especially if you are a solo traveller). The room itself is big enough with a small table, tv, ac, hairdryer. Bathroom is clean. There is a shared area where you can make tea/coffee. Croissants and other sweets for breakfast. A host provides all the information over telegram/whatsup. He let me checkin earlier as the room was ready, which was highly appreciated.

United KingdomOnly disposable plastic cups are available which are not appropriate for hot drinks. Only tissues are available (no plates). The room has sufficient space but no chairs.
Good location within the old town (about 10-15 minutes walk from Garibaldi (Alibus stop from Napoli airport). The rooms are on the second and a half floor (between second and third floors) which is accessible by stairs only within the old building (tall building). In the common area (hallway to rooms, no sitting area, no chairs), there is a drinking water machine, hot water machine (rather than a kettle), a small fridge (bottled fruit juice and milk), and an espresso machine (using espresso coffee bags provided). As with previous reviews, all foods are packed (croissants, cakes) for breakfast, there is a small oven for warming up croissants/bread if needed.

FranceVery small room, very small bathroom. Breakfast wasn’t breakfast ( we just drink the coffee), croissants are put in the night before. I think it will be fair to it brand it breakfast free. The building is at the image of the city, rooms are not isles at all, neighbors by simply walking or talking while doing the coffee can wake you up
Not far from central station. You can walk everywhere

RomaniaThere were a few things I liked less, but they didn’t affect our stay at the location at all. There was no elevator available for guests; the building does have one, but it’s reserved for residents and works only with a remote control. The location is on the 3nd floor of a historic building. Also, there was no common dining room where guests could sit down to enjoy breakfast — everything was self-service in the hallway, which wasn’t very comfortable. The fridge was small, which was not enough for storing drinks or snacks for room.
The location is excellent, right in the heart of the historic center, close to the main attractions, restaurants, and cafés. Everything is within walking distance, which was a big plus—we didn’t need to use public transport. Breakfast is simple, Italian-style (sweet), and prepared the evening before, so you could help yourself anytime. Tea, a coffee machine, and a water dispenser were always available. Cleanliness was impeccable – the room was clean, towels were changed, and the bathroom was sanitized daily. Check-in was very easy using entry codes provided by the host. Comfort was vry good – a comfortable bed, functional air conditioning, and a quiet room, even though it was quite lively outside. We even caught a big celebration: Napoli’s football team winning the cup! :) The owner, Enzo, was very friendly and quick to respond to any inquiries. He made sure we felt welcome and provided helpful information during our stay.

BrazilThe apartment is on the third floor and the elevator did not work (with suitcases, and after walking all day, it was not the easiest). The breakfast was really bad, the "fresh" sweet breads (only sweet things) were placed the night before, which were no longer fresh, other than that there were only industrialized cookies and industrialized cakes. We stayed 4 days and the bed linen was not changed once.
Location. Quick response from staff. Coffee and cappuccino machine 24h available.
