How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very thin walls. You can basically hear everything- on The left tipical italian family , on the right drunk guests arguing in the morning. No glassess at all. And weird rules that you can not drink and eat inside ??!!
Thank you for the review, we would like to point out that no one in our facility was drunk as you were the only ones staying overnight, the B&B is located in a condominium where there are also people's apartments and some noises are inevitable... In our rooms we do not allow meals by introducing oil and particular foods that could cause serious hygiene problems in a normal bedroom... we allow a small snack and drinks but if the intention is to have lunch or dinner unfortunately not!

Verified reviewI liked the size of room, the cleanliness, the bathroom, the view and balcony. I also found the host very helpful. The area was also lovely and peacfull with very friendly locals. Overall a great stay.
This is outwith the control of the B&B however we could hear a lot of noice, furniture moving, people talking loud and children running about until the early hours of the morning on both nights that kept us awake. I’m not sure if that is frequent or not but it was a downside.

Not flexible check-in. They want to make check-in in certain time frame which is difficult to know before many days.

Thanks for the review, regarding the rules there are and they are very normal rules we have many difficulties with guests who often do not understand the rules causing problems for you for the staff of the structure and especially for the new guests of the rooms if it is used badly.... In your case we took the liberty of pointing out to you that you had placed an internal coat hanger outside with a lot of clothes to dry... the coat hanger fell on the metal railing and could have fallen from the third floor causing damage to things or even people.... we were notified and the coat hanger was put in its place inside the room. All you had to do was ask and we would have pointed out that there are accommodations outside the balconies for drying swimsuits or beach towels but I repeat in an accommodation facility where we host guests from all over the world with so many different cultures and customs it is mandatory to have certain rules and appropriate behaviour.

Verified reviewBeautiful view from the balcony. Very nice and relaxing surroundings. One of the best villages on the coast. Not overcrowded at all (for example, Positano is just a hell in the summer). From here, you can get anywhere by bus, ferry or car (moving by car is not that easy and you will meet huge problems with parking). Also, here you will have nice light breakfast at Miramar bar.
Had blackout issues few times, but it's not depending on the building. It was about the whole area.

Verified reviewThe location is perfect - the best spot to stay in Vietri (close to great restaurants, to beach) and to move across the Amalfi coast. The view from the balcony is great. Check-in and out was very easy. The host is very nice, very responsive!
The breakfast! It is not like in the pictures. We recieved a voucher for a cafe close-by, which was nice. But we got only one coffee and one piece of sweet, not even a juice. We had booked a double room, but we had a single chair in the room and a single chair on balcony. But it is ok.
Hello, the double room concerns the double bed ... .. the rooms have a chair outside the balcony with a table and an internal chair obviously this is the equipment of the room, the breakfast is indicated that it is Italian specified at the MIRAMARE bar with a product to drink and one to eat is not a buffet breakfast, the photos are indicative and show some products that are subject to availability obviously at the MIRAMARE bar there are some products that we did not have before and vice versa when the breakfasts were managed internally but if you read the automatic message that reaches all customers there is specified.
