Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Kingdomnothing, it was a great stay and we were sad to leave.
Don't be put off by the first impressions on surrounding buildings, this area is very safe, quiet, and it's walking distance to the centre and amenities. This is a fabulous B&B set in the house of the owner. Our room was very comfortable and had a good size balcony. The host is very friendly and I enjoyed the conversation we had when she was around. Bathroom was adjacent to our room (private for our room), spacious and spotless. I normally don't like an outside bathroom or sharing a living space but because this place feels more like a house than a hotel, it felt natural, like being in our own home. We even lounged in our pijamas. Parking in the area is a bit nightmarish. If you come by car and plan to use it, I suggest you rent the private parking space that is available in the building. You need to pre-arrange this with the host. We were lucky we found a spot when we arrived and didn't plan to use the car while in Palermo, so didn't take up the private parking, but definitely recommended if you want to avoid driving around looking for a spot. I highly recommend B&B I Pisani if you want a warm welcome and a clean, comfortable stay in Palermo. Sig.ra Anna Maria is a well of knowledge and is proud of her region so ask her for tips on what to see and where to go for local snacks.

RomaniaWe were two couples and we booked two rooms. In one of them, the air conditioning was broke, the host provide a air fan,but it wasn't enough, so hot in the night. The lady who rented us, lives in the same house. She told use to turn off the lights in the hallway (before 10 pm). It was a coffee machine in the living room ,but no coffee or tea ,only water and some sugar. No acces to kitchen. Maybe in the past according to the reviews I read. We didn't feel welcoming, unfortunately..
The apartament was clean and well located, close to the center and tourist attractions.

SpainOur host did not speak English (please note this was not a problem for us because we spoke Italian ). It was difficult to find a place to park our car (please note we came with a big van)
We stayed in a double room with our own bathroom next to it. The house is so big that we do not interfere with our host daily routine. Everything was so clean. Our host was so welcoming and friendly. The apartment is located in a residential area close to the University and at walking distance to the city center. Train station was also close.

AustriaThe shower would need a deep clean.
Great room with balcony in the 8th floor, with walking distance to the city center. We also could park our car safely in a garage for a daily fee which was great!

United StatesOur hostess, Anna Maria, was very kind and responsive. The homey feel and location (as walkers) were perfect for us. This, a family home, is lovingly filled with traditional furnishing. The 8th floor balconies offer plenty of light and air. Excellent value!

United KingdomThis would have been easy to find with better directions, as it was, it proved very difficult. This is on the main road, the 8th floor of apartment building, to find you have to get out the car and look at the apartment listings and apartment doorbell with B&B Pisani written on, fortunately an extremely helpful Sicilian helped us to find it. We were not aware there were other guests and taken aback to find we were sharing when we returned on the first night, this wasn't a problem just disconcerting. A kettle was provided but no cups! The fridge was pretty useless and aircon limited.
The location was excellent for access to the historical centre of Palermo. Easy to walk in, approx 10-15 minutes. Reasonably easy to drive in and out of, staying on the main roads. Very clean with SHARED access to living room and large terrace. You then had your own bedroom with smaller private terrace , and own bedroom and separate bathroom. Towels and toiletries provided and the owner allowed us to park the car in her garage in the basement, albeit for an extra unexpected charge of 45 euros for 3 nights! However, this meant the car was safe, there was no need to move the car whilst visiting the city, everything was within walking distance.
