The access to the property was not easy, available parking lots are not quite close, so you would need to climb and descend a lot of street stairs to reach the location. That is not a pleasant sport when you need to carry also the luggage..

The room was very beautiful, spacious and we had everthing we needed. The host was very kind and helpful. We appreciated the cleanliness and the coziness of the property.

Salvo was an incredible host! He was so patient with our questions, so kind, and very helpful. Breakfast was incredible and he was so generous with the amenities. Our room was beautiful and the location great. Everything was very clean and comfortable. You could tell that a lot of love and care went into the accommodation and we really enjoyed our time here. We strongly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Caltagirone!!

Perfectly located room right in the heart of the city. Spotlessly clean, with a beautiful modern bathroom — there’s even a Japanese toilet! The breakfast is excellent and served in a stunning room of the apartment. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the bedding was exceptionally comfortable.

I found the bed a bit too soft for my liking.

We were given instructions to do a self-check in which workout out very well. The room was comfortable and we slept relatively well. Salvo, the friendly owner, met us the next morning for breakfast and served a very flavourful and appealing breakfast in a beautiful room. We were able to park just a couple of blocks away for free.

The only downside (which is not at all the fault of the host and can be said of any property within the historic center) is that it can be a bit difficult to find by car. As an American who cannot drive a manual car, I got stuck with a larger sized automatic rental car which makes driving down narrow alleyways extra difficult. I got lost and very frustrated trying to navigate my way to the b&b so I pulled over and texted the host. He called me immediately and I explained my situation. Without any hesitation he said he would send somebody to meet me and help guide me. I told him my location and so meone was there within minutes, as promised, to help me find a parking spot near the property. Parking is very close by so that is a plus.

The location of the property is fantastic. It is a very short walk to the Scalinata di Santa Maria del Monte and main part of town. Breakfast is served in the host’s beautifully decorated living room. It was beautifully presented and delicious! The sweet woman who served me breakfast (I believe her name is Sylvia) is delightful. I was allowed to leave my suitcase in the room after the checkout time so that I could explore town for a couple hours. Unfortunately, I was not able to meet the host Salvo because he was away on a business trip but I appreciate that he was very responsive and easy to reach by phone. He seems like a very nice guy. My room was clean, large and spacious. I chose the room with the loft. I wish I could have stayed more than one night. Would not hesitate to come back someday!

Caltagirone is a beautiful city but not very geared to tourists travelling by public transport, or wanting assistance from a tourist office as the main one was permanently closed and the other only open in the morning. Sadly there are no guided walking tours on offer, despite this the city is well worth a visit. The locals were very friendly and helpful.

The location couldn't have been better, it was close to the centre but quiet, and the owner advised on where to eat, places of interest etc and even drove me to the bus station when I left. Everything was easily accessible on foot despite the heat.

It is very well located, right in the center of Caltagirone. Salvo was very kind and gave us very good recommendations. The room was perfect for our family, very clean and spacious. The house is spectacularly decorated. We had breakfast upstairs in Salvo's dining room, a very good and complete breakfast. We are sure that if we ever return to Caltagirone, we will stay with him again.
