Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CubaDidn't like that the hallway lights take too long to turn on when you enter the main door.
The host was excellent, very accomodating and knowledgable. The room was as described and it was easy to get to the location from the main attractions.

United KingdomParking was shocking - we ended up with a fine. No lift, so access was tricky. Area was patrolled by lone African males who were pleasant enough when we engaged with them, but left a somewhat threatening impression.
The room itself was clean and atmospheric with a large bed and a traditional feel. A relatively short walk to the Tower, etc.

United KingdomThis marks our third visit here as we are drawn by the stunning aesthetic of the residenza that evokes a miniature palace. The cleanliness is impeccable, and Ivanka, the owner, consistently ensures you have a pleasant stay. You have coffee, fruits and nice paestries for breakfast, too. This residenza has always been reliable and it is perfectly situated for exploring local restaurants and major landmarks by a short walk distance. The owner also helped us to book a taxi for the next day to arrive to the airport on time.

United KingdomLovely room with beautiful features, including a painted ceiling. We were given helpful instructions for meeting the owner at the property and he was very welcoming. There is a room with coffee, snacks etc available during the stay. Bathroom was clean and modern. Location was great, about 5-10 minutes walk to the Leaning Tower. We only stayed one night but would definitely return if we visit Pisa again.

QatarIt was not an issue for us, but there is no lift in the building, so you have to take stairs. The hotel is on the second floor of the building.
We just stayed one day in Pisa and Residenza D'Epoca was a great choice for us. The hotel interior is very beautiful and everything looks new and very well taken care of. Ivanka is the owner and met us during check in, gave us all the instructions and also recommended places to eat. There are a lot of good restaurants and cafes around which are out of the tourist zone traps around Pisa tower. Everything is within walking distance. Bed was super large and comfortable. Shower was great and wifi worked well.

United KingdomThe lighting over the mirror in the bathroom looks like it is going to be fitted. It was a bit dark, which didn't matter to me but might to others.
Great location within easy walking distance of the old centre, sites and restaurants. Very comfortable, large bed. We weren't there long enough to appreciate the other rooms. Ivanka was very helpful booking taxis for us and when we didn't meet the first one she got a second which got us to the airport on time.

Lovely room with a lot of effort into restoration and cleanliness, so you get a really nice ‘Italian’ feel when you stay there. The host is friendly and knows what she is doing. The room was spacious and the bathroom/shower was gorgeous. It was exactly what we needed.

United KingdomCommunication with Ivanka was always great. She helped us with booking a taxi and dinner reservation in our favorite restaurant in Pisa. The bed is comfy and big and the place offers complementary coffee and pastries. The decoration of the residenza is beautiful and makes you feel you are in a mansion as it is an historic building.

IrelandBeautiful 18th century accommodation with modern comfortable bathroom and beds. Ivanka was extremely welcoming and helpful. The location is excellent. It is about a ten minute walk from the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We had a really enjoyable stay. Coffee, tea, milk and cake are available for breakfast or snacks and we enjoyed the beautiful dining room. It was a privilege to stay in a historic building in the heart of Pisa.
