How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewViews are great ! Facing the mountains … 2 littles nice cats too welcomed us ! The host was so nice and accommodating with the arrival time . We had a complimentary drink on arrival - crema di mirto - that was yummy ! Room was impeccable and very comfortable with an ensuite bathroom. Breakfast on the balcony was the cherry on top ! Those views take your breathe away .
There is honestly very little not to like about the venue or location … a very Sardinian experience to be honest.

The town is located in a perfect location for hiking and the sea. The view from the building is beautiful. We will definitely be back.

Verified reviewWe stayed here for 2 nights, making it an ideal base for visiting the surrounding mountains. The village is supplied with spring water, so the tap water is excellent. The room is beautifully decorated with traditional local crafts. The cleanliness and comfort are perfect. The owner is infinitely kind and gave us a taste of an exquisite fermented lemon liqueur that she makes herself! Breakfast on the charming terrace is of a rare quality. You'll enjoy local specialities, homemade bread and jams. If you are trekking, be aware of the opening hours of the small shops in the village. They open late in the morning. So remember to do your shopping the day before!

Verified reviewGreat location, nice views, clean and friendly staff
In April room was very cold and the aircon stopped working during the night making it very cold
Good morning Ioana, thank you for your review and for your kind words. We are truly sorry if you experienced any discomfort during your stay. I would like to point out that our heating and cooling systems are new and efficient, and we carry out regular maintenance on all the room facilities. We have no record of any faults or malfunctions, and no other guest has reported issues, even during the colder winter months. It is possible there was a mistake on your part in setting the mode or temperature. We always encourage our guests to contact us immediately, at any time, should any problem arise, as we are always available to help. Unfortunately, we are only learning about this now, a month later and through a review, when a simple phone call or message would have allowed us to resolve the problem right away. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you would like to discuss this further. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and offer you a flawless experience. Kind regards, Maria

Verified reviewWe had an amazing time at this bnb, which is everything you can hope for in a Sardinian stay. The hostess, Maria, is incredibly welcoming and cooks a beautiful fresh breakfast for you every morning (local products only, homemade the day of). The room is spacious and cosy, with private quarters for the bathrooms. Everything is clean, authentic and the view from the porch is simply amazing. Maria goes the extra step to make you feel welcome and gives great restaurant/ activities recommendations. We had a great time and would easily recommend, especially for couples.

Verified reviewMaria was very friendly and welcoming, greeting us with a glass of Sardinian wine. The terrace was beautiful, with a stunning mountain view facing south, so we could enjoy the sun all day. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful—prepared with love and served in beautiful dishes. It had a great variety, including freshly made orange juice, homemade jams, coffee, and other homemade delicious food. Maria even gave us extra bread one afternoon since the supermarkets were closed, which was very kind. We managed to communicate with Maria with the help of Google Translate, and she gave us great tips for hiking routes and water fountains in the area. The location was perfect, close to beautiful mountain hikes only minutes of drive from the place.
The room had a traditional Sardinian style rather than a modern look, which might not be for everyone. The bed was not very comfortable (a bit too soft), and the pillows were a bit too hard. While the place was very clean upon arrival, it wasn’t cleaned daily. There was no coffee machine, fridge, or water in the room, though Maria kindly provided anything if we asked.

Verified reviewLovely hosts and very nice breakfast. Had the greatest local meal in a place nearby called Sant'Anghelu. All in all a very cute place that made me think of the 'allo 'allo series. Despite the language barrier they really try to make your stay as best as possible.
It was a bit smaller than i expected. We had the expert trail in the Gorropu canyon so we were really tired. Not really extremely comfortable to relax, more just a pass-through stay. The hosts speak not a word english. My italian is very minimal so it went okay, i would have enjoyed learning a bit about the small and lovely region they grew up in.

We found the mattress a bit too soft and the pillow too hard. But that's a matter of preference.
