How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Marco is the perfect host, he was responsive and went the extra mile making sure we were collected from the airport late in the evening. He provided great recommendations for where to eat, which meant we had some fantastic meals in Pisa. The room had everything we needed, it was spacious, temperature controlled and reasonably quiet during the night, despite being incredibly central. We saw many complaints about the breakfast, don’t be discouraged by this. Yes the included breakfast is a simple meal at the restaurant next door but we didn’t need much more when getting and early start to explore this city, and when we did we just ordered a little more, they were well priced and accommodated for some changes.

Our room was absolutely perfect. Stocked with everything we could need. Marco went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect and gave fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and places to see! The location was ideally located on a beautiful quiet street with a lovely cafe for breakfast next door. We’ll definitely be back

Our second stay at Via Corsica after we had been to Florence. Great room again. Everything just as good as earlier in the week.

Marco was a great host, going out of his way to help. The room was spotlessly clean and well presented. Aircon worked well. Comfortable bed. Great central location but also quiet.

We stayed for 2 nights with my husband. The room was big, very clean, and had everything we needed. Cleanliness is very important to me, and not every hotel is like this. The owner, Marco, was very friendly and helpful. The place itself feels cozy and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. If you visit Pisa, we recommend staying here because the location is in the center and very convenient.

Marco is a very friendly host and is easy to communicate with. He takes excellent care of the three rooms, located in the centre of Pisa. Our superieur room was truly spacious with an annex smaller room for luggage etc. High ceilings, very clean, great bed and nicely decorated. Breakfast is just next door and was sufficient for us. In case you prefer a larger breakfast, prices are very reasonable. Note that the place is in a pedestrian area, so you can’t come close by car. About 5 minutes walk to a parking.

The bedsheets were very thin, but perhaps this was because of the hot weather.
The room was very clean and had everything you needed. Marco was a lovely host and even gave me recommendations of places to eat in Pisa. Location was also excellent, in front of Piazza dei Cavalieri.

Marco was a very welcoming host. The room was lovely, I can't fault it at all. The location was great. From the airport, you can catch the Pisa Mover stuttle to Pisa Central Station, and from there, it is an easy 20-minute walk to the B&B. It is in a great location. The Tower of Pisa and Catherdal are under a 10-minute walk.

Very easy to communicate with Marco. Room spotless. Modern in an old building. All services as detailed provided. Airport Transfer took worry out of early flight. Wonderful experience..would use again

Central location. Lovely refurbished large room. Modern shower room with hot powerful water. Marco was waiting for us at a late check in and was very helpful. A great stay and will want to return again in the future.

The early check out.
I like the area as it's walking distance to the leaning tower of Pisa. Marco was amazing host and very helpful. The recommendations for restaurants was perfect. The place was very clean and the smell was really good.

Only negative is that there was an on off noise constantly happening which seemed to come from next door, wasn’t loud and didn’t disrupt sleep, but noticeable. Was better when I shut the wardrobe room door

This B&B is perfectly located right next to the Piazza dei Cavalieri. The room was very clean, spacious and equiped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Marco, the host, was very friendly and kindly provided us with suggestions for restaurants and sites to further explore Pisa. It is very obvious how much he cares about his guests and he made our stay very pleasent.

Second door to get into AirBnB inside the building was so hard to get into when we arrived late we had to contact staff member and probably woke other guests up trying to force the door open.
