How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewHost was really helpful and friendly, including giving transport advice to arrive at the property and calling me an emergency airport taxi when the buses didn’t arrive the following day. Bed and pillows were super comfy. Very large room and decent size bathroom with a little balcony and table to sit outside, or plenty of room downstairs as well.

Verified reviewour stay was sharp but really good! we arrived night, so thank you Mauro for picking us up in a difficult hour of the day.The classic room where we stayed was spacious and Mauro and Griselda put an extra bed for a little kid with a small cost.(15 euro)Everything clean, nice and new bathroom. Everymorning we had breakfast served upon communication for our preferences. There was a variety of choises! In general the hosts are very responsive and committed. The area is not in town ,but using the bus line 101 ( 8-10 min walk) and line 55 I think (just opposite) the house you can arrive in Trevino in about 15 minutes. I liked the area, because it is quite and also nearby there is the park regional del Fiume Sile, really nice if you would like to enjoy the nature of Veneto. Greetings Mauro & Griselda

The bathroom wasn't clean. The lady didn't gave us the air-condition remote-control and tell us to open a window. We had to call her for help, her husband came and bring the remote control. We payed for breakfast but had an early flight And ask her to prepare a bag for us, she didn't seem happy about it. No soap, room very basic. No minibar to make drink. Noisy room because its in front of the road.
Good morning dear guest, I see it wasn't a good experience for you to stay at my vry nice place, even for me wasn't good experience to read your unfair comment as I consider it an injustice. At least one positive point (free parking ).not bad as in some other places you have to pay it. I would like to specify that I don't believe that the bathroom wasn't clean it gets cleaned everyday and my place is choosen for being spotless. The day you came it was raining and it was cold 15° so all the rooms had the heating on that's why you didn't find the A/C remote control in the room but I you immediately got it when you called me. One more point is about breakfast, in fact you paid for it and told you that is served from 7.30 am, you say that I didn't seem happy for the bag you asked me it isn't true because I give it when guests ask me, here the problem was that you put me in a difficult position when you mentioned that you wanted something as you are Diabetic of course I was worried for not satisfying you. I consider that it was your fault and not mine, if some guest has special needs should mention it when is booking I'm completely sure that if you should have mentioned about your ill I could have bought a breakfast for diabetic persons. you are discrediting my rooms which are very nice,clean, big and beautiful , I'd like to give you and advice next time pay more and choose a 5 stars hotel in which you will have all what I couldn't offer you in your opinion, anyway I consider that I do big efforts for my guests and I love my job which was completely damaged with your comment, of course my average will go down because of you but never mind, I understood that happiness isn't inside of everybody.
