Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Great location, few minutes from the center and great room! It was big, clean and very nice. The owner was really helpful and gave us excellent suggestions for food and shopping.

From the pictures and apartment being in the name of the property we expected it to be an apartment with a kitchen. You book a private room in a shared apartment and the kitchen is only for the breakfast served. You cannot use it as a guest.
The room we booked was lovely, clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the balcony.

However, there were a few drawbacks. During the night, around 2-3 AM, the upstairs neighbors were quite noisy, dropping things on the floor, and the sound of heels was noticeable. The shower drainage made a strange noise, and there was some water leakage from the shower. Additionally, having an iron available in the shared area would have been a nice touch. While the soundproofing could be improved, it was still better than other accommodations in Catania. Fortunately, our room faced the inner garden, which made it relatively quiet.
The accommodation offered a seamless self-check-in process, making our arrival smooth and hassle-free. We appreciated having the entire apartment to ourselves, which ensured a quiet and peaceful stay. The presence of a coffee machine was a great touch, adding to the comfort of our experience. Additionally, the location was excellent, being close to Piazza Umberto I, making it easy to explore the area.

Everithing was perfect. Apartmen was clean, specious and in the city centar. Beach is close, around 1km. Valentina is great and very helpful. For all recomendation!

Valentina was a wonderful host! Great communication and amazing care of her guests, providing an extremely rich breakfast, also including fresh croissants of choice from local bakery, and suggestions about attractions to visit around Avola. The room was clean and comfortable, parking was easy on the street. It was a really pleasant stay. Strongly recommended!

The street was a bit noisy, but the window blinds shut out most of the traffic sounds. We were super tired and all three of us slept unbothered in the very comfy beds provided.
Our host was super friendly and accommodating. Loved the huge room, the delicious breakfast and the fantastic location with parking space. We stayed with our 1.5 year old son who was given a comfy crib to sleep in. Highly recommend!

It would be nice if there was a possibility to use a kitchen not only for breakfast but also for cooking some simple dinner (pasta, soup, salad).
Very clean, room for 4 was big enough. Great service, fair breakfast for the price. Easy parking and friendly host. I would definitely recommend. One of the lovliest rooms I saw for this price while staying over in Siciliy in the of April.

Very clean and nice place. Small fridge in the room gave the possibility to have fresh food stored for the night. Contact with owners was easy and quick by booking.com and whatsapp.

Little bit bad sound isolation as it was disturbing to hear in the room if someone used coffee machine. Good it was only at the morning.
It was very clean, personal was helpful, it was many options to choose for breakfast. It was possible to use sun umbrella from the apartment. Very cozy style. Just 7 minutes away from the train station.
