Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandCheck in was somewhat difficult. When I arrived nobody was there but the doors were open. After waiting for some time I had to phone and a lady who doesn't speak English arrived on her scooter and showed me my room. She said something about breakfast being at 8.30 so I asked for a coffee and a chocolate croissant which she brought to me. Coffee was cold though. No air conditioning so the room was hot although not unbearably so. Parking is limited but fortunately there were only two guests. I don't think more than three cars would fit.
Good value, easy to get to from the airport.

SlovakiaMentioned above.
the view from the balcony. Only that. Everything else was horrible. Dear booking. Let me file a report and a request for a refund - eversince I came (on Sunday 29th of June) and asked the owner (Sonia) for the Wi-Fi, I was told it does not work now and will work tomorrow. This same scenario held place every night after I came home from my Uni - I’m here for a short Erasmus course, therefore, a working Wi-Fi was a must for me. There was not an AC unit (which was fine by me since it was not even written in the info). Big Umbrella on the balcony was blocking the sun to heat up the room. The umbrella broke down during the first night - I’ve asked the lady to fix it - she just got rid of it and didn’t offer any substitution. From Monday until wednesday (3nights), the room was completely hot. I found a dead mice on the hall right outside my door. There was a huge spider and a grasshopper. I even did get bitten by bed bugs - please, see the pictures. As you may know, getting rid of bed bugs may cost hundreds of Euros once you bring them to your home. The homeowner even kept ignoring my messages, even though I included the italian translation (the lady doesn’t speak a word in english) I’ve slept there 4 nights, until 3rd of July. Afterwards I left the key in the door and left. I’ve slept there 4 nights out of planned 7. The room was super hot and full of insects, without a functioning Wi-Fi. The disinfection of my suitcase and backpack + gels and creams for the bites, the cellular data I had to buy EXTRA, since the Wi-Fi was not working costed me a really high amount of money. The drainage of the sink in the bathroom was not working properly as well. Minding the fact I am a student, thanks to this stay I have payed more money on bills that were not expected. Fiasco. Therefore, I’m requesting a prompt solutions and a full refund. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Regards, Simon Bauer.

ItalyThe B&B didn't have internet nor a coffee/tea maker, neither a hair shampoo nor a body soap. Only hand soap. The location is up in a hill so you have to walk down the hill then to your left to find the nearest caffe and pastry business, which is located on your left hand side after the #6 bus stop, across the street, which is around 20 minutes walk to get there. The bus 14 passes by the street where the B&B is located, around 3 minutes walk from the B&B and passes every hour, but it takes 45 minutes to get you to the center and leaves you a few minutes walk to the Central Train Station. The bus 6 passes every half hour, and the bus stop is located down the hill on your left (nearest one), or you're right before the Pasteceria coffee business across the street. And arrives at the city center in 20 minutes. The owner of the B&B said that her friend can drive you to the center for $10 euros for each trip because the bus 14 passes once a day, but that's not true. The bus 14 passes every hour, except on Sundays. Also she said there was no internet because it was broken and that TIM would fix it on Monday, but there was no internet box connected to the wall in the lobby entrance and there was still no internet on Monday, I checked-out on Tuesday and was in that room for 5 days with no Wi-Fi, no TV or nothing. The bedroom is very simple but clean with a comfortable bed and old ugly blankets and towels. However, the entrance was very dirty every day with no lights and no elevator going up 5 stairs. I will give this room a 1 star. The owner was polite and picked me up at the center when I arrived. Her friend was driving, and that's when the owner of the property told me that her friend could drive me around for a fee. I will never stay here again.

BelgiumThe internet was "broken" for our whole stay of 9 nights, and we saw no one for repairs. There was nothing in the room or the common area, no tea, coffee (although online it says there is), no water heater, glasses, plates, anything. There is no garbage can in the room (except a tiny one in the bathroom for bathroom stuff). We had to find ways ourselves to get rid of garbage. There is a a list of around 15 rules for the customers stuck on the door, which mention one thing they promise: to clean the room, change towels and bed covers every 3 days if you stay minimum 7 days. They were never changed, room was never cleaned. Our terras was next to the owner's terras. There were several bags of garbage there for at least 5 days, and a cat litter box full of ****, which we could both smell on our terras. We ordered the room with sea view, but we got the mountain view. You can see the sea at the end corner of the terras by looking around the corner. None of these things were easy to explain to the owner, because she doesn't speak any English, and frankly, we only understand a few words in Italian.
