Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

My room was spacious with a good bathroom. The dining room was very pleasant and well served by a nice staff member. Inside parking at 8 euros per day provided which was a bonus as town parking hit and miss. Right in the centre of town so very convenient for everything. Best Fish restaurant in town only 30 meters away.

United KingdomAs a Brit, I always miss being able to make tea and coffee in my room.
Beautiful building accessed via huge original wooden doors that open onto a cobbled courtyard. An impressive marbled entrance hall with a flight of marble steps leads to the B & B on the first floor. The rooms are huge with double height ceilings with frescos and chandeliers. Very large french windows, with internal shutters lead to balconies many overlooking the piazza. It is like stepping in to a bygone era. Great location, on one of the main piazzas. Lots of restaurants and many tourist attractions just a few minutes walk away. The Catania Scicli bus stops five minutes down the road while the Elios tourist info is a mins walk and can arrange a taxi (mine was at 2am) for 150 Euros.

United KingdomAs a Brit, I missed having tea and coffee in my room....
Characterful B & B from a bygone era. An impressive entrance through an enormous original wooden gate, which must be original 18th century, leads into a cobbled courtyard and then in through an imposing marble staircase and entrance hall. The bedrooms are huge with double height ceilings with frescos and huge French doors leading onto balconies. There is a small lounge area where breakfast is served with the option of having breakfast overlooking the piazza. The location is excellent, with many restaurants nearby and lots within walking to visit in the town. It's about 5 minutes walk from the Catania Airport Scicli bus stop but the tourist information Elios (1mins walk) can organise a taxi to Catania for 150 euros. Excellent value.

MaltaNo lift but they helped me with my baggage. Service with a smile.
I liked the location because it was in the square. Restaurants were very close... The building is old and has historical value. I have a problem with walking & lifting ...cannot walk far. The staff were extremely helpful, warm and co-operative. I needed to rest and loved the balcony overlooking the square and watch the world go by. Breakfast was nice and inviting set in an authentic old room with fresco on ceiling. Also bedroom had fresco.

MaltaThe owner , older man in the morning, was not as charming or welcoming as the other employees. Also charging extra for using a double bed , instead of a single. A small note, breakfast room is interconnecting to bedrooms and can get noisy early in the morning.
The hotel is very central and nicely done. We arrived late in the evening and the welcome of the young female employee on arrival was exceptional. Very professional yet charming and offered us great information.

Australia- Perfectly quiet during the night, but the traffic starts about 6am. - Wifi weak inside the rooms, but generally okay. - We had booked a double room, but were allocated a quadruple room, which was a little bit like staying in a dormitory and we would not have chosen it. This may be a common practice as there are only 4 rooms.
Charming small B and B, ‘old fashioned’ in the best sense: very nice staff, pleasant large light rooms with high ceilings and original tiled floors, very comfortable. For information: located on the first floor, the palazzo marble wide staircase has 38 easy shallow steps and four landings.
