The apartment is a traditional Italian experience: high ceilings, high windows etc. Also the location is close to the Colloseum and other touristic locations. We also liked the caffeteria where they served breakfast. The host was very friendly, he shared a lot of information about restaurants and places.

The private bathroom is not within the room itself.

We like the neighborhood and the (large) size of the room best. Also the room has good air con...which is essential in the summer when the temperature reaches 30C and above when we stayed in August. And the environment is nice and quiet.

Even though this is a convenient location, at night, the area around the piazza is kind of sketchy, and at one point, someone tried to get into the door behind us, and when we closed the door immediately, he didn't come in even in the next minutes while we waited for the lift, which could have meant he was following my friend and me inside... Watch out, everyone. I would not recommend a woman staying there alone to go out too late at night, or to try to arrive too late. The other thing that could have been better is that the bathroom was a little dirty -- not too dirty, but with moldy grout, etc. And while it is a private bathroom, for use only by our room, it is still across the hallway from the room, and not an ensuite--which is ok, but we did see a few other guests crossing the hall to get to their bathroom... so it took some getting used to.

All in all the best thing about this place is the excellent location (right on Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, a few steps away from the Metro, walking distance from Santa Maria Maggiore, San Giovanni in Laterano, Stazione Termini) and in a neighborhood which is "normal." The host was also very kind and provided us with great restaurant recommendations. The fact that it was close to Termini also made traveling to and from Fiumicino Airport a lot simpler -- just one stop on the Metro, then on to the train. And it was a great value, very reasonably priced, for a nice-sized, air conditioned, though bare bones room. Wouldn't stay there alone, but would consider it if I were traveling with a friend or a small group.

Great room, coffee(instant) and tea provided. Very clean bathroom.Park across the street & near train and other public transport. Excellent communication with owner. Close to shops & restaurants. The only thing is that the mattress is due for renewal.

Not the nicest area to stay in

Handy location near multiple metro stations, Rome terminal station and walking distance to the colosseum. Spacious room and property had lift which was great for those travelling with heavy luggage

The air conditioner works poorly, the shower door does not close completely, showering is a challenge because the water from the limescale shower head is weak, the water temperature fluctuates constantly.

The accommodation is close to the main railway station, which is a perfect thing. There are great restaurants all around the place. As we were leaving early morning, we got a breakfast to go without any problem Also, the breakfast in the nearby coffee bar was nice, typical Italian (just coffee and croissant) but the best coffee and yummy croissant with chocolate).

It is in an old building so things are a bit noisy. We can hear the footsteps on the room above us.

18mins walk to coliseum, 5mins walk to train station, 10mins walk to bus station. Shower working okay. Bed is comfortable. Also, Ricardo is very nice and helpful!

Sharing the bathroom. We had read it was an external bathroom, just didn't realise it was shared.

The location was excellent,; right near metro, close to mini marts and shops, walking distance (15-20 mins) from Colosseum. The room was quiet and had a great air con.
