Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Nothing, it was perfect.
Loved our stay here! Incredibly clean and well styled. We really appreciated self check in, being able to store luggage after check out and the access to beach umbrellas! Also we loved the free espresso bar and water provided in the accomodation! The location is good too because it’s about 5 mins walk into the action, but far enough away it is quiet at night. Absolutely would stay again.

The shower cubicle in the bathroom in our room was open, not private, which is minor but still something some people may not like. We did not know about the free coffee, water etc. in the reception area until the last day. Thank you for that but we would have loved to know earlier.
The room was not far from train station and a little bit up the road from the busier street which was great, nice and quiet and yet walking distance to everything including the beach. Thank you for being flexible and letting us store our luggage in the reception area until we left in the early evening!

The only minor improvement was the shower was not as private as we like and the fridge in one of the rooms was noisy.

Lots and lots of stairs :)
Loved the room and the quirky decor and comfort. Stayed in the 'attic' room and it has a great bathroom! Stephanie very energetic and helpful.

The AC in the room was very weak. It's noted on the listing, but the 1.85m (6') ceilings, while not a problem for us, weren't a great feature. There's a lot of steep stairs to get to the room.
Perfect location for walking around the center of Cefalu. Huge bathroom with fantastic shower and tub.

Warehouse door of the next building's Acqua & Sapone shop is through the hotel's entrance. At 7:00AM workers started to carry goods in and out with some noise.
Very cosy place, very clean. Owner/manager Marie was very helpful and smiling all the time. Room was well decorated. WC had a bidet as well.

Stair access only, no lift so if you struggled with mobility issues then it may be a problem for you.
Good location, just out of the city centre so nice and quiet and you can drive there without having to drive into the “no parking zone”.

The bed was the best we had our whole vacation. We had such good rest and the room was so elegantly designed👌🏻 The staff was efficient and extremely friendly and really thought of every little detail for their guests. We did a last minute checkin which was no problem at all. We also liked that the property was close to the train station but near a nice piazza with restaurants. The beach, main shopping street and old town was just minutes away. Perfect location and all together a really enjoyable stay👌🏻

Easy keyless entry. Staff very responsive to my messages. Very clean. Centrally located so that we could walk anywhere. Parking not far away. Alessandra from the cafe where they contract for breakfast was a delight. We loved it!

Granita temporarily unavailable in one of breakfast options so we just swapped to some of the other ones. Road sweeping noise early morning a bit disturbing but must just have been me as others never noticed it!
Rooms spotless and contemporary with modern fixtures and fittings, whilst managing to retain some of the character of original building. Breakfast across the road had plenty of variety. We walked from train station and were within walking distance of so many of the restaurants, shops, bars and seafront beaches.

Everything was great! But we also think that it was a bit overpriced.
The location was perfect. It was on the edge of the city centre of Cefalù. Close to the bars, restaurants and shops. Close enough to the beach (approx 10min walk). Room was quite small, but big enough for 2 people for a few days. Also the staff were very nice. Especially Stephanie. She was very helpful, kind and enthusiastic.

This gorgeous guesthouse is an 8 minute walk from the station & a 2 minute walk to the old town. There was complimentary tea/ coffee which was appreciated. The room was fabulous with a big comfy bed, extra pillows and the most amazing bathroom. It was super quiet despite being so close to the centre. A great stay - thank you to Mari & the team.

Bed wasn’t the most comfortable, and pillows were very flat.
Beautiful building with nice sized rooms and friendly staff. Location is perfect for walk down to the beach and restaurants, but is generally quiet and out of the main tourist area. Rooms were clean, and a great shower which is always a bonus.

Nothing all really good.
Perfect location for enjoying and exploring Cefalu. Breakfast is served at a cafe over the road which was really nice. We were given information prior to arrival so we could get into the property as there is no reception. We parked nearby as advised by the host and a discount was arranged. Communication was superb. Room was really nice, we just wished we had stayed longer.
